I'd be more than happy to share mine... after I'm sure the contest is fully over. Last thing I want to do is put them up and somehow disqualify them or break a rule or something by prematurely sharing an entry that did or didn't win anything.

 

So, just gonna keep refreshing my email until I do or don't get something... and then keep refreshing the blog for an official announcement. When that's done, then I'll feel comfortable publicly sharing what I submitted.

Uh... we might be waiting for a while for this one^^; They did state after all that the winners will be chosen by a panel of judges on or after July 29th, but I don't think we ever got the date of when they're going to be announced/informed...?

Nope, they said they'd be chosen on or about the 21st and notified on or about the 29th (and announced on the blog when they'd all agreed to it, which could take up to 2 weeks). But from Dragons & Donuts I got the impression they received more entries than they'd expected, and @bioware tweeted this afternoon (edit: and again just now to DragonRacer) that the judges were still working, so I'm not losing hope that we're looking at "about" rather than "on".

Well, they didn't limit number of entries per person, so depending on how many people entered PLUS how... *ahem* ambitious... some folks were (like me and my 11 entries LOOOOOOOL), it's definitely leaning more towards that whole "or after" July 29th part.

Well, they didn't limit number of entries per person, so depending on how many people entered PLUS how... *ahem* ambitious... some folks were (like me and my 11 entries LOOOOOOOL), it's definitely leaning more towards that whole "or after" July 29th part.

Well, I entered, but gameplay wise I can't see either of my entries being a winner.  And, I'm sure others have written far more interesting entries than I did too.  Once the contest is over I will be happy to share them.  I was watching for any news of winners today, but looks like it's going to be a while.

 

It was fun to enter, even though I can't imagine either of my entries winning.

 

I did have a fun entry I wanted to make, but was unable to because it was storming the night of the deadline.  It was a bathrobe belt (which I can say because I didn't actually get to submit it).  It would have certainly been unique and funny!  But I doubt it would have won anything either.

For whatever it's worth, in case anyone was wondering, they said on the MP stream that they were still going through entries as of last night. They said someone had narrowed it down to a pool of about 50 and that Luke was working on checking out how those items played. They also mentioned that someone had sent in an item description entirely in elven, and that they had to go get Gaider to translate it.

(Also from the MP stream, and news to me but probably not everyone here: Monday is apparently a Canadian holiday. So I don't expect news about this or anything else until at least Tuesday.)

Sorry for the spam/double post, but I am curious about something. Even though some of us, who have posted in this thread, are a little reluctant to post our entries yet, I am interested in how many sent in entries with accessories that had more than two or three stats attributed to them?

I ended up only giving each of my two entries two stats a piece. But for me, it was a conscious decision to go slightly more minimalistic. (still took advantage of some of the more extraordinary "Passives" though.) BTW, this isn't a good or bad thing, obviously, just a curiosity.

Ugh, so... for some reason when the contest started I had it in my head that we were only allowed 1 ability apiece (which made the fact that scoring was based 50% on gameplay completely confusing to me), so three of mine actually got sent in that way and will definitely not be winning anything! I reread the rules a few hours before it closed, realized there was nothing against having more, and my other two have 2 (both passives) and 4 (2 passives and 2 stat decreases) respectively.

I generally gave all of my entries three attributes.

Here's an entry I'm pretty sure won't win, since mechanically it's pretty boring. I mostly submitted it for the evil pun at the end.

10% Flanking Bonus
15% Cold Resistance

Not all the Orlesian lords made an effort to antagonize their subjects during the Ferelden occupation. A minor noble named Gagnon tried to endear himself to the Fereldans by fashioning an entire outfit out of mabari leather: a coat, boots, gloves, and even his hat. His dismembered remains were found shortly after revealing this ensemble in 8:78 Blessed. The only surviving piece of Gagnon's attire is this belt, which even his murderers admitted was damn fetching.

Sorry if that came off as sounding judgmental. I swear that wasn't my intention. Just relating my one entry that started as a EatKS (Everything and the Kitchen Sink). Not too mention, my "description" was a bit....much.

Not a problem. Actually thinking back I keep regretting one of the attribute choices I made for that one, even though it was my favorite of the three I sent in. And I still worry that y description for that one was too long (And possibly too serious)
