Forgive me, I am not certain how to say this correctly. Mass Effect Andromeda should not have multiple races to select from for the protagonist. Why? Look at DA:I, for all the customization and alteration of back story it had little to no effect on the world and character interaction. However, the little bit that mentioned said race or culture wasn't worth the time or work that the developers put into it. Mass Effect centralized around one race and it is arguably one of the best video game series ever created. It did all this without grinding through menial open world areas, interchangeable races, or crafting. What made Mass Effect so great was the story and teammates we met along the way. Please BioWare, focus on our character interactions, a compelling storyline, and build on the me3 gameplay. The trilogy has set a high bar and Andromeda cannot fail or the Mass Effect Universe may fail with it. Story. Characters. Gameplay. In that order. If you could continue the voiced protagonist and dialogue options that'd be great.

Unfortunately, Bioware is making it so that you can only play as a human male or female. Which is a shame since I love race options and this seemed the perfect time to do bring it into the Mass Effect games.

Daisy. I like the race options in DA:O but I feel like it takes more away than it adds to the game. I don't need someone to remind me that I'm an elf for the first twenty minutes of a game then have it fall to the wayside. It just doesn't seem like there is an impact to the world depending on character race.

You're free to feel that way. Meanwhile I feel the opposite. Having us be human-only again has more cons than pros in my opinion, for example Bioware making a lot of assumptions how we are going to play 'our' character. With race options, they can't do that nearly as much so the protagonist actually feels more like our character and not simply Bioware's character.

I think playing as another race in ME:A MP is fine. But I do not see a specie selection. I think ME games will always be from the humans perspective. And I am fine with that.

That's a shame. To have such interesting aliens, yet to only be able to play them in storyless MP rather than see the story through their perspective.

Having more races is a Good thing . Being human is soo dull . I'm playing a Game that happen in the futur ! I want to be something else then a Human .
Don't play 'multiple races' but how BW is lazy at doing them right .
And even when you play as a Human , the dialogue still suck no matter what .
