The asari are fine the way they are, I don't want BioWare to "uglyfy" them for the sake of... I don't even know, why would you even want BioWare to make the asari uglier?

I don't think male elves improved much. It's still hard to avoid the fishy/horse faced look...with some face shapes at least. Then they're bodies are just weird too. Females are cute though.

 

Yup agreed I still cannot play as elves. Their spaghetti arms and legs.....they feel like they could break anytime.

Are the Asari meant to be attractive? Because I've never found them to be attractive, the blue/purple skin and tentacle hair makes them look weird as hell. The only Asari that I would say is actually attractive is Samara/Morinth, though that may be because they have an actual face model unlike the rest of the Asari.

I hate to break it to some, but humans are a sexual creature by nature.   Its one of our evolutionary advantages.   Rather than just being ready for breeding once or twice a year like many animals, humans developed a back to back continuous cycle of reproductive readiness, throw in a strong hormone system that actively drives us to constantly seek out partners and you have a perfect system for keeping a thriving population.  

 

Games, TV, movies, and other media often play into that genetic drive to foster a connection to the human condition.    Trying to neuter everything takes away from that.  The game would be far less if everything is sterilized from the factors that drive our connection to it.

I don't see anything wrong behind the concept of Asari. Basically they are the sci-fi version of Dryades.

And since ancient times people have always imagined some race which is composed by charming and sexualized females. Sirens, Amazons and many others... it's just a human thing.

I remember seeing an interview from back then, when Drew K was all giddy about it... "Who doesn't want to be with a hot alien babe?" That's the kind of mentality that went into it.

 

 

Well c'mon we shouldn't be that moralistic...I think they are pretty nice, there are the dancers, but also the commandos, the Justicars, the scientists and politicians..IMO to say they are mainly a sexualized only race is quite unfair. Even if they were it wouldn't be bad either....media works this way.

 

Remember the smart words of Matriarch Aethyta about sex appeal and people paying attention only if they want to have sex with you....so you have to be available, mysterious. Asari are smarter than people give them credit for. Much smarter. They use sexuality to achieve their goals.

They are the apex of failure.
Their super war assets cant beat the Geth even if you destroy the heretics.
If you call living in spaceship slums being good at science and engineering, then there is not much to say.
The Geth are so superior that they were enslaved by the Reapers, who many of them viewed the Reapers as Gods.

Are we really going to compare? Then besides the Crucible, without the Asari we would never have reached Ilos and ME2 (the best game of the trilogy) would never have happened.

If failure is being objectively better in every way, sure.

Sure they can. It happens every single playthrough for me. Conversely, you can rewrite the Heretics and the half strength quarian fleet can still shitstomp the full strength geth if you let the process play out naturally according to the self acquired merits of each (no Reaper code). I don't see how bringing up another faction that is also better than the asari is helping you, anyway.
They aren't slums. They simply lack inefficient decadance and prioritize resource use intelligently for maximum efficiency, something the asari could learn from. Less dancers and more commandos I believe is how someone once put it?

The geth are superior, other than technologically. The brainless Reaper strategy of engaging in useless, random battles instead of just taking the Citadel and closing the relays makes that all too apparent. The latter are simply too stupid to live. Geth only became enslaved because they (understandably) could not defeat the Master Race without a Faustian Bargin. Further, they didn't sit on the Council for years denying the obvious truth, then respond by hiding the object that could have won the war in 5 minutes out of a desire to maintain a position of prominence they didn't earn through their own merits.

Never would have even gotten the Normandy off the Citadel to pick up that asari without quarians. We win again. You owe your existence to our brilliance. You'd have never even met the waifu you worship without us. You're welcome, lesser being.

And the krogan contribute more war assets than the quarians. The asari and the turians also contribute more if you rewrote the geth in ME2.

You aren't accounting for crucible assets given by the quarians (Xen's AI relays). Krogan are 850 max, quarians are 875. But yea, yet another race that is way better than the asari.

We are discussing maximums, not suboptimal results garnered by suboptimal methods. Technically, one could get zero war assets from the krogan and like 200 each from the asari and turians, but that would be stupid decision making and not reflective of their actual worth. Similarly, rewriting the Heretics is stupid decision making. Even the resident toaster Legion calls you an idiot for it, and rightfully so. They're space Cthulu cultists. Kill them.

Lol, you really need to try harder. Geth are Cannon fodder of ME, still killed almost every Quarian.

I agree, they should all be turned into males and then say: "But I'm not actually a male by your understanding.  I don't have a gender.  I don't understand why you don't find our race attractive - it's not 'gay' since I'm not a male like you are."
