Human attraction? What? This is not something exclusive to humans, a species of any kind is more attracted to its own species, that's how biology works. The Asari are literally an anomaly, one pulled from the backside of Bioware.

So a alien species having a alien kind of attraction is a bad thing?

Yeah, like I said the artist was desperate to give her boobs, since you know boobs are an important indication of being a female in the universe.  And the dev was trying his hardest to explain that away. They also put boobs on Drell, and I think Drell infants eat solid food.

As long as the character models retain them, I'm going with that over something that Weekes says offhand. 

That video is ambiguous. Could equally be talking about hips, buns or other features that are similar between asari and human females but not turians.

I didn't say it was a bad thing(it's a weird as f**k though and likely lethal, even I'll admit that), just that aliens like that should be in the minority of their species for any sort of realism to be had. But like I said, the Asari are already a biological impossibility so realism was long thrown out of the window.

The Asari kind of attraction is impossible because they themselves are impossible.

Yup poor me. I don't mind gay/lesbian romances instead you seems to mind what straight people has or not. Focus on asking for romances for lgbt instead of pretending them to take away things from the others. You are doing it wrong.

Because if there were only so many Ardat-Yakshi to fill a single cloister, than that stigma seems to be overrated, in my opinion.

 

Actually it was Mass Effect 2 that couldn't keep the lore straight.

 

Samara as you said, has dialogue that implies there are only three of them. However in the same game you can trigger a line of dialogue from Patriarch where he mentions Asari honey-wine brewed at a monastery for Ardat-Yakshi. In the eternity bar you can also have Shepard order it, and the description says it is brewed at a monastery for Ardat-Yakshi. The codex entry in ME2 also states that they aren't rare, and about 1% of Asari 'dwell on the AY spectrum.'

 

The error it seems was with Samara's dialogue.

I don't think male elves improved much. It's still hard to avoid the fishy/horse faced look...with some face shapes at least. Then they're bodies are just weird too. Females are cute though. edit: their

I disagree with you, thats one of the things that makes Asaries more alien, the more things that we cant registre relate the better.

Sure, but some people have preferences in their roleplay! Some gay guys don't do Asari LI, some gay women don't want to romance guys, etc. etc. Why should they have to?

1) because they are not humans 2) because in a monogendered species there is no concept of gayness. 3) because sex for them is not necessarily a physical activity.

Sure go tell the gay male gamers that boobs, vaginas (they have vaginas like Humans even though they meld), and curvaceous bodies on monogendered "females" are not relatable Human qualities because they are on the Asari, which are aliens, so it should not be a put-off at all to them. 

 

Well you are right. It would be a better design if the devs made the Asari androgynous, just so that you couldn´t really tell...
