Spawn camping is back

We decided not to spawn camp yesterday and to run 4 Archers on NM instead. Really fast games, much more fun and more promotions (1 perilous + 2 NM to lvl 20).

I don't see any problem with spawn camping however. Sometimes you just don't have as much time and want to be more efficient.

 

Must have been a pretty good team.... how did you survive lol

 

What were your tactics please?  I'd love to try this.  My stats are 49/110/128 using Hakkon Dagger (For Duelist obviously) Have Dragon Bow, CR for Archer..  Good enough for that strategy?   (Playstation 4)

Last time I've played battlefield we was shouting banning and yelling at those noobs who spawn camping.
Don't be cheap, fight like a man/woman.

If you have Heartstring bow and spam Caltrops, you'll never stay dead.

Yeah I have Heartstring. Forgot about that since I am at work at the moment.

 

You cannot be serious  :devil: I can never tell when you are preying on a silly noob or not.  I'll try it out tonight.

I could give a shi* about the hakkon weapons.  It does tilt the scoreboard and money gathering significantly I would think.  Doing something to stream line some items you want, I don;t care.  Doing so and getting a large leg up on community challenges I do care.

 

Also goes to show the validity of all the indignation of people on here about the change they made to eliminate this.  One second after they change it back people are back to spawn blocking.

In all seriousness I thought the spawn camping was fixed, and now it is back. It is really disgusting. I like Hakkon weapons, but spawn camping shouldn't be the answer, a serious cry for drop rate fixes should be.

I would suggest looking at FC map mostly, because on older map I can't think off (in terms of small radius challenge version) of something just broken.
With lower radius there was pretty much impossible for me to block spawns on zone 3 near gong (so 2 tower). Even standing pretty much in place when enemies jump down couldn't block it. Similar problem on zone 4 with tower spawns (this which you can't enter near some kind of balcony).

Please actually test it properly before pushing it out. Don't want things spawning on my head like last time, or even spawning on the other side of a completely open area such as the gong area on FC where a firing squad can execute me in seconds.

It takes you an hour? Glad I don't group with you. My groups usually can handle it within 30-40 min when we take our time and hide in rooms. Or when we're confident and have a good group make up (2 Reavers, Elementalist and Keeper) we can clear it in 20, killing every mob.

Confirm: 7.5 minute NM dragons with a half-awake team not yelling at one another and powered completely by Piffle's gentle whispers of encouragement.   

 

Can also confirm 10 minute to 2 hour.

Unfortunately the scoreboard means nothing.... Ever since the promotion exploit happened, it has no value.

I got killed a few times. The enemies must have sensed that they couldn't kill Jay because of his stats, so I got all the aggro instead.

 

I'd recommend either the Heartstring Bow or Hakkon's Wrath. My stats are 42/49/99. You obviously need three decent teammates playing Archer, with everyone using Long Shot, Explosive Shot, Leaping Shot, Opportunity Knocks and Pincushion if available. You should have close to zero cooldown on your abilities thanks to everyone getting crits like crazy. Use Long Shot on enemies coming towards you, Explosive Shot on clustered groups and Leaping Shot on enemies that get too close. You should mostly stay in the same spots generally used for exp farming, except for FC zone 4 where you should stay close to the spot where you encounter the first enemies. Don't cluster up when there's DDs and be aware of your surroundings in Shadow/Stalker zones.

 

At least one Archer should have Mark of Death to speed up the dragon fight. It should be dead the moment it lands for the second time. You will get exp like crazy because almost everyone will tag every enemy with Long Shot/Explosive Shot. As I said, we managed to get to lvl 20 in one perilous and two nightmare games.

 

If you have trouble staying alive, you could have the fourth player use either a Virtuoso or a Keeper. Virtuoso should use LKM/Barrier and Battle of the Bands. Keeper should Barrier, put up a Disruption Field for the Archers to hide behind and maybe a Static Cage on the waves with Shadows/Stalkers.

 

And Drasca is of course right about Caltrops reviving you with a HoH bow when an enemy walks over them.

It's kind of novel controlling the spawns that way, but then I start to miss the combat and teamwork elements that make the game fun. It's equally a drag to have to kill three enemies, wait a second, run to the other side of the map to kill three enemies, wait a second, run back, and so forth for a good ten minutes at the end of each level. Hopefully BW can find a way to strike a happy medium between the tedium of chasing tiny spawns around the map and the banality of parking your rear in corner and doing next to nothing.

I'm insane enough to pug NM. One of the reasons I bring in a player with a total of two promotions to NM FC.

Some may or may not be game-breaking, or capable of an easy, immediate fix. Theyre aware of the issue and working on a solution, I would surmise.

Honestly, SpaceV3gan made the best case for allowing spawn camping to continue: Doing so immensely hinders your XP gain in exchange for a very rare chance at an item drop. It's really not a fair trade. I see no reason the exploit should be removed at all.

But then Bioware can't make us kill 40 rage demons at the same time on zone 4 FC and if we don't do that then their whole morning is just ruined! Ruined I say! :D

I wonder how it is possible to do a 8 minute or even less run on FC NM. I currently only play around midnight on PS4. IF, yes a big if, i can find a PUG it will either fail or we'll clear it around 1 and 1/2 hours. PS4 community seems dead around midnight for europeans. Don't have that much DAMP friends play at that time either to organize a run. Can't even imagine to clear NM with 3 ppl or less, hell even one underleveld...Sitting at 45/55/59 with BiS equipment except hakkons. Only got a 1h sword yet. So, i really wonder...
