I'm pretty sure he isn't asking what patch were on. He is asking for some communication from BioWare on what the future of DA:I development is going to be. He does have a point in that we haven't heard anything from the games mucky mucks since early this year. I've been around long enough to know that this is rather normal for them, but still, newer fans are finding out the reality of how to have poor communication with your customers.

Well, no. They have poor communication with customers on the actual official method of communication, these forums. If you want to use a third party like Twitter or Reddit, you might get some sort of answer. Which is ludicrous and borderline offensive.
And why aren't patch notes up for 7 and 8 in the patch notes thread?
They keep an updated blog post for the patch notes with multiple languages listed.

Can someone please tell Bioware that this is not something we all wanted and should be toned down if not completely removed?

Some of the developers did a AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit back in late March:
https://www.reddit.c..._ask_us_almost/
I wish they could be bothered to come out and talk to us on the official forums. You'd figure on the forums, where they have the most moderator powers, they would be willing to talk to the fans like this. They ignored the flaming comments that would pop up in their Ask Me [Almost] Anything, so I really have to wonder why they won't do it here?
Gah, this is an old rant for me. I think I need coffee and I need to kill some monsters. ![]()
Edit: I know that the writers and developers are under zero obligation to be on the forums. In many ways, I don't blame them. However, it would be awesome to see them here doing something like that. Or at least creating a sticky thread locked to replies that had links to their AMAs, giveaways on Twitter, and other such things.
It seems pretty sad that there is this assumption by the part of BW employees that if you don't have Facebook or Twitter or Reddit accounts, you are outta luck for interacting with the developers.

The last real CM we had was Priestly, we all know how that turned out.

How did that turn out?
He "left" Bioware because he made an off-color comment on Twitter regarding a dragon age t-shirt to Felicia Day ... and the internet exploded.

Yes the writers and developers have no obligation to be here but where the bleep are the community managers!? What A A A game does not have those?
Apparently we do have a community manager, but the identity of this particular individual has been shrouded in mystery since 2011.

Jessica Merizan was a great community manager until she moved on to better things last September.

Hmmm, didn't know Jessica was the CM after Priestly.
