I would like to see a real minigames like Space Invaders but with Normandy and the Reapers ;)  Also, some gambling will be good even hardcore stuff like russian roulette or something where you could die or win a lot of credits (but that games would be easy to abuse by quick save). Maybe some small racing games with Mako?

Hacking doors and containers - if i have a tech-specialist in my team i should be able to order him/her to hack that thing... or blow it up with explosives, or tear it to pieces with my biotic rage... that would be cool.

I don't know, I don't think games like Portal are a waste of time. It always depends on design choices. If done well and integrated well, puzzels can be a lot of fun. Maybe Mass Effect isn't exactly the place to do this but I am actually growing weary of the fact that combat always seems to be the main avenue of gameplay in RPGs. I'd love to see RPGs that lean more towards the Adventure and puzzle side of things, where an inventory is not just used to store guns/swords.

I remember back when you could get items to solve puzzles / dialogues, much more so than recent games. The streamlining of games really led to binary choices: either you fight or you run a basic persuasion check (maybe based on talents, or renegade points, or occasionally quest completion). I love when you can do extra optional content to effect main missions. If you have multiple options to get past an obstacle then that is great, whether that obstacle is a firefight, a locked door, or anything else.

The more of this they have in any rpg the happier I am.

While we are in the middle of missions our character should get calls from his/her cousin wanting to go bowling/shoot pool/whatever, and because our cousin's life depends upon our going bowling with them we really can't refuse (it's reputation with our cousin whether or not they call us before something bad happens to them later on). So we abandon the mission and go bowling, because playing the mini-game is more fun than the mission anyway.

I'm not opposed to puzzles in the games as long as the puzzles make sense to be there and aren't too difficult.

Also, I hate lugging around a huge inventory of crap because I usually don't know what to keep and what not to keep. I mean what do we need to carry? We have medigel. Maybe some rations, ammo, power cells, and grenades and a suppressor. Our omni-tool does pretty much everything else.

I hope they reconsider the space flight minigame that ME2 and ME3 had. It was tedious.

Oh and guys ME1 Simon Says game was ****. Stop that.

Only if they are an integral part of the plot, as in ME1 Noveria mission.

Do you mean the galaxy map with the little model ship? If so, I completely agree. This goes together with what I said before: Mini games have to fit the experience the player character is supposed to have. If Shepard needs to hack a door, I am not against some form of hacking game as long as it is made fun.

However, in the case of ME2/3's FM (if you really want to call this a mini game anyway) this was not the case. Joker flies the ship. The GM is there for Shepard to determine the next destination (like it was done in ME1). I always imagine Shepard like a five year old with a toy ship in his hand, going "Brrrrrmmmmmmh, shuuuuuuuszh!" in ME2/3. :)

All that said, if the trailer is any indication, it looks like ME:A may improve on that.

Yay, the kind that people play in those futuristic times. I want to see how the centuries upon centuries of relay tech have affected gaming.

Aww but I always found flying around in the model ship kind of cute.

Drop the mini-games and hacking completely. They interrupt, drive me nuts, and spoil my fun.

If anything, make them optional in the game-play customization screens, and for another reason: I work with young adults who want to play the game, but the by-pass and hacking are just too tough for them. Opt out, opt out, opt out - please.

Yeah... so much fun... you could fly right into suns and had to "find" objects in space by crashing into them. I can easily think of a better exploration interface.

Yes, I want mini-games that addicting and that can keep me sidetracked from main story missions and side missions.  I want where after I beat the game with 100%, I can come back do mini-games in SP until DLC is released.

No, I do not want any mini-games. I absolutely hate mini-games in RPGs.

The only exception is Gwent in The Witcher 3, that is probably the best mini-game I've ever seen in an RPG. It's so good that it could actually be a stand-alone game like Blizzard's Heartstone.

I would like puzzles like the astrarium in DAI. I would also like Mako races and chess-like games. I loved the tower of hanoi in ME1 found it quite easy. Also an hacking minigame is required.....totally hated the auto-hackin in ME3......i'm not an idiot. I'm indifferent to games of chance...Don't quite like them....so yes BW bring them on...all ability based games are welcome.
