Guess we can add hypocritical to that list i regrds to Dragon Age fans as well.
To be honest I don't think Witcher fans are trying to be cruel when they point out just how badly the Dragon Age series fails in comparison, when they point out what the Witcher does better it is not about saying "haha our game is better than yours" but rather pointing out that video games and RPGs can be held to a higher standard, that it is possible to achieve greatness in the RPG genre, it is not about proving which series has the bigger dick but rather urging Bioware to lift their game by showing them just how far they have fallen behind. Unfortunately this has only resulted in exposing the insecurities of the Dragon Age fanbase and has caused bitter resentment with many refusing to even try the Witcher games due to not wanting to acknowledge the failings of the series and developer they have worshiped all these years.
In all honesty I created this thread with good intentions, I had hoped to mend the rift between the fanbase by finding the things the Dragon Age series manages to do well in order bring some equality to comparisons and allow the Dragon Age fanbase to feel some sort of justification, however despite my best efforts the thread only managed to serve as a further reminder of how low Bioware and the Dragon Age team have fallen and for that I apologize.
I don't know. You seem pretty antagonizing and I am a
hugeWitcher fan and I don't even believe this thread was made to build bridges. Saying that you wish for them to see fault with the developer they have "worshipped" for years won't fool anyone into thinking you want to mend rifts, but cause them.
I think TW3 is nearly perfect, but that isn't universal and these fans believe DAI is nearly perfect to them, it isn't universal. If you really want Bioware to seek the changes you want, point out the faults and weaknesses and make suggestions on how to improve what you think needs it. Insulting the fans will get you nothig but ire. Something tells me you already know that, though.
