I'm asking on behalf of a friend who's module just got corrupted (to my knowledge).

When he tries to open it, it opens a blank temp instead, which has happened to me before when somethings been corrupted.

Unfortunately he didn't use a directory, so I don't know if recovering a module would be possible, hence why I'm asking here >_<

He spent no doubt 80+ hours on it, so it'd be a massive shame to lose it. Is there any tools or tricks into recovering a module?

Yes, you (or your friend whose module was corrupted) can try opening it instead in Tanita's NWN2Packer v1.9.  You can extract the files from there, and drop them into another module folder or into a new module file.

Make sure the disk on which NWN2 is installed hasn't run out of space. That's happened to me, and the result is the toolset opens a blank module.

Well thanks for the help. Myself and my friend (hopefully) have bookmarked the link), but my friend somehow lost the module lol.......

He managed to find 6/9 outdated areas though, but I'm gnna give him a break and make him work on something else and I'll re do the areas for him >_<
