no i suspect tomfoolery
Stupid and neurotic. It's an unattractive combination.
Here's some news: Video game publishers don't give higher scores or praise to games made by big publishers.

That would be your job, everyone else is just making fun of you at this point.

No that would be your job as the opposition to provide evidence that this topic has been acknowledged as you say it has been. Im not here to do your job. You whine, you back it up. Nice try trolling though, youve proven my point.
interesting take on EA's underhanded business practices.
talking about something more recent have a look at this.

didnt EA get a new CEO? I hope he does better.
Ross is kind of ranting about online only games in general more so than EA's tactics, though it's something that admittedly EA does a lot of.
To which I actually agree with him that it's stupid to outright kill a game like that. Seriously, if you just release the source code the community will have that figured out in no time. It's not like you're planning on making any more money off of the thing since you've just killed it.
To be honest, I think that EA is less evil and more just makes a bunch of stupid decisions.

Im a bit of an extremist, I advocate for keeping ALL my fingers.

It's a shame too because Battleforge actually looks like an interesting concept that I'd probably enjoy, but I didn't hear about it until I saw Ross's video on it and it's been dead for a while.
Though as I said, EA seems to be more doing it because of higher ups that don't know much about the gaming community than they do enough business rather than them being legitimately evil.
At least in this case.
At least less crazy then an offline mode in an MMO haha
EA just made a huge thing about a new Feint being included for the next Fifa game. Problem is this: The feint was already in the previous game. It just had a different name.
The game industry is a joke. I would never work in it. I'd rather be a cop or garbage man or some other sh!t job.
EA is pretty bad, one of if not the worse. The gaming press and "journalists" are nothing but shills.
IGN, gamespot, NG4, Kotaku and so on are all on the dole for these publishers and they are paid for giving their games solid reviews.
Mass Effect 3 was a major executor of this gameplan. Going so far as too have IGN's eye candy and host in the game and advertising on it's site everyday for over 3 months. They also did this for dozens of other review sites and publications. ME3 has like a 91 metacritic...... AT LAUNCH with THAT ending.... Seriously!?!?
What a joke.
EA also did this with Battlefield 4, the culprits were again IGN, Gamespot, Kotaku. You know, the usual suspects. They gave BF4 like a 9/10..... AT LAUNCH. The worst launch in FPS history got a 9/10
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
EA has tons of it and they spread it around to these "journalists" (none of them are, most don't even have a degree in journalism or have ever written for a real or halfway decent newspaper or magazine or publication), these journalists are all wh0res.
I don't really blame EA, as much as I blame the gaming media. After all, EA is just a corporation looking after their bottom line and investments.
It's the game media that takes the bribe.
Voting EA as the worst company of America is truly laughable for anyone who's even minimally informed about the bullshit perpetrated by so many large corporations.
No. Because the particular award you're thinking of is a consumer award. Exploiting child labor, dumping toxic waste, etc has nothing to do with it. It's entirely about customer satisfaction and from the perspective of the customer's interest/experience.
I've never voted for EA, not even once, so I'm not defending myself here. But I can well see how EA has managed to win that award and there is nothing wrong or laughable with that. EA needs to get their act together, and I think they maybe are, slowly, gradually.
...Maybe.
tell that to your employer and cut your wage in half then tell me how money isnt imporant to your well-being..
Your job satisfaction isn't just related to how much you're paid. It's a mixture of job enjoyment, people, pay and possible alternatives to the job.
Yes Dovah... not all jobs are life-sucking hell holes like yours
some people are able to find enjoyment in what they do.
Be nice if EA went bust
Be nice if EA went bust
EA cannot die... it only comes back stronger than ever!
Naw, money is all that matters in a job or career. If you're getting paid a lot of money then you can handle all the other BS that goes with working along other humans.
Be nice if EA went bust
Then Battlefield would finally be free and perhaps go to a real developer and not scrub DICE.
We would have pre EA owned BioWare- you know the good BioWare, that gave us ME1, Kotor, Jade Empire, ME2 (was already in alpha when EA acquired BW), Baldurs Gate. The great bioware, not the EA shill it has become.
Maybe Sim City would be good again.....
EA cannot die... it only comes back stronger than ever!
Yes true evil never dies ![]()
I'm of the opinion that this guy is really running EA-

It's still pretty laughable since companies like Bank of America have legitimately ruined some of their customer's lives. For the purposes of threads on a gaming site yeah EA is terrible, but worst company in America? Not even close.
The only real reason to vote for EA is because they actually gave a damn about being given the award. BoA would just laugh and continue on.
Be nice if EA went bust
As much as people would love to see this, a lot of perfectly fine developers and artists would be out of a job if EA went bust and most of the companies under them would be dissolved and the IPs would be left to rot.
You might be able to get much of the remaining BioWare team to band together under a new name, but they couldn't continue making Mass Effect or Dragon Age because they don't own the rights to those games. They also lose the massive marketing power of the brand names of BioWare, Mass Effect, and Dragon Age. They wouldn't be able to continue making AAA games.
Really what ideally would happen is the most of the executives in EA are replaced with people who understand gaming.
I'm of the opinion that this guy is really running EA-
Fixed that for you.

No, it's this guy. Who, I guess, resembles the Illusive Man (all ex-EA CEOs do too, in fact).
