If you had bought in around ME3's release you would have quadrupled your money.

I've dumped all my stocks and bitcoins.

Now I have no idea what to do.

I didn't buy EA though.

EA does some shitty things, but I'd hardly call them true evil. Unless they run around beheading people for not believing in what they believe.

Come on now. That's not ALWAYS evil either.  -_-

But BoA has many satisfied customers.

Given how much EA Sports games sell (to mention only those), so does EA. Their customer base certainly isn't limited to people why cry on forums.

I mean, I have no lost love for EA, but let's be honest there would probably be no Bioware anymore without their buyout. And if anyone thinks that's a good thing, they're welcome to, but I'd wonder what in the blazes they're doing on Bioware's own fansite close to 8 years after the fact.

Besides, if you ask me EA has steadily been doing better (gaming-wise, albeit financially they're in top shape too) since Wilson took the reins. Nowadays, it's Activision and Ubisoft that are the worst publishers. With an helping of Warner Brothers after the Arkham Knight fiasco.

But BoA has many satisfied customers.

And BoA didn't exactly ruin those customers' lives. Circumstances and the finance crash did. Blaming the bank, when the bank moves responsibly to protect others' assets, completely according to the rules of the deal, which those ruined customers signed, is just a gut reaction. ...Just like attacking the repo man when he comes to take your car.

Left-wing people never seem capable of getting this, but you know - it's other people's money.

The fact that EA actually won that award is fascinating, because it shows off where things are going. I'm thinking about who's on the internet and what's important to them. And EA doesn't seem to have so many satisfied customers among them.

No, it's not laughable. It's quite refreshing that people are actually collectively getting something through, about their discontent.

Personally, I'm the kind of guy who tends to not complain about the food in a restaurant. I just leave and then tell everyone that it stinks. At the most I tell the waitress I won't be back.

I do that because I'm convinced an incompetent chef can't take criticism right. On the contrary, I risk that he wipes the toilet with my steak, ****** in my soup or spits in my salad.

But there are many restaurants. There aren't many game publishers and the only one that hasn't started to stink yet is Bethesda. I do think even that is beginning to become smelly though.

Only the repo man sold you the car and has a history of doing shady business practices that probably should have landed him in jail a long time ago. Also, it may be that he sold an entirely different car to a different person and is now taking your car. He will deny having any knowledge of doing so in the future.

You don't have to spend much time on the internet to find out that BoA has done of lot of terrible and anti-consumer things, as well as some grossly incompetent things.

EA does have plenty of people who like what they do otherwise they wouldn't keep selling so many copies of their games. Of course, being gamers on a gaming forum we're probably more likely to hear complaints about the international games developer rather than the bank that exists in only one country.

Though they've also done their share of incompetent things. I don't want people to think that I'm defending EA here, just claiming that they suck less than the other guys =P

The world was built by the few exploiting the many.

Just sit back and wait for Anarchy...and people running around without trousers on.... it's bound to happen.... eventually?

I agree, and I said almost as much in a previous post: "EA needs to get their act together, and I think they maybe are, slowly, gradually. ...Maybe."

But I suspect the first steps were taken already before, only the EA collective didn't take it seriously and thought they still knew better, - until some major further fiascoes hit. Hopefully, most of EA are now on the program.

EA just made a huge thing about a new Feint being included for the next  Fifa game. Problem is this: The feint was already in the previous game. It just had a different name.

That's the EA trademark, back when madden was on the ps2 they had features like hit stick and playmaker, then they introduced it to the newer consoles like it was brand new. They practiced these tactics for years

Funny thread. Guess you guys are not from Europe or you would know that your favorite developer (hint: from Poland) has a horrendous reputation. Chaotic management, inhumane month-long crunch time and really low pay.

The EA-wife story was widely reported and lead to some changes. Believe it or not, modern EA is apparently one of the better employers in the industry. There is a reason why they are able to attract a lot of talented people lately.

My buddy works at EA on origin and he loves it. Be package thay they give is usually great. They asked him to do something impressive and be programmed a tetris game in 2 hours. He has always wanted to work in the video game industry so I don't blame him. I would never work in the video game industry, the politics that come with the job are heavy and I usually do express my opinion on things. It is a bit looked down upon to do that in the fame industry. It is like hip hop. I can't say "we'll this implementation was trash." Because I would hurt some developers feelings and they would come for my neck

When I was a kid in seventh grade I had to write an essay about what I wanted to be "when I grow up", while most kids simply put down that they wanted to go on their missions and rise through the church (which I am not a member of FYI) I typed up a rather elaborate (for the time) article detailing how I a thirteen year-old American kid wanted to work for (then) Squaresoft a Japanese video game company and how my ideas and writing skills could bring new talent (IPs) to the table. Of course now being much older, much more jaded, and much much more aware of the politics involved in the VG development industry I can safely say that this was all just a kid's pipe-dream. I still have fantastic and grandiose ideas but I'd rather put them to use in a novel than in a game, which will probably get shot down easily.

Well not about having feeelings hurt. IT is about it being detrimental to your career. What you say in the industry can blacklist you from achieving your goals.

Try to work for a major company and mention Gamergate. It is almost suicide

Ah.....

But yeah mentioning that would be a problem.

But There should be ethics in journalism.

Isn't it somewhat convenient that when a game is released a day 1 review on say IGN they get huge scores...  Has no one got the balls to say "it's a good game but this could be improved, or that is bad?"
