There are different kinds of rules, and those were obviously (at least I think so) not the kind I was referring too. The world, even when it comes to rules and laws, is not black and white (at least not in all cases).Yep mathematical rules, physics rules/laws. Being changed all the time.
The way it supPose to be?

So why don't we submit the rules of DA:IMP to a vote and democratically decide which rules are good and which bad? I really do not understand your point if we are discussing DA:IMP. To me cheating is outright bad and I think it really is hard to argue with that. I cannot see a net good coming from it

If you’re consciously using an exploit, aren’t you cheating?
yes.....it is but if you stumble in a lobby and just milk it you did not force the glitch cuz it does happen randomly, and
I know plenty who do milk it when it does occur but its a programming fault. I would only call those who force create the lobby cheaters

So if you stumble into this scenario, remain in the lobby for the rest of the evening and profit from this, its okay because you didn't actually set up the lobby. Gimme a freakin break, Sounds like you are laying the ground work for a defense. Not saying you did, just that the argument," I know some people who might have done this" sounds iffy at best.

In general cheating is bad, but that usually involves a significant negative effect on those who don't. In the case of DAMP's XP exploit, I do not think that it does, for reasons that I've already stated in previous posts. So why don't we submit the rules of DA:IMP to a vote and democratically decide which rules are good and which bad? Completely agreed , that is how i feel too , some ppl were sitting in glitch lobbys for days, and now they gonna say its not theyr fault?

I may or may not agree with the rules, but I still am expected to adhere to them while they are current. Bioware is the designer and can do what they want. I can take my concerns to the lobby and try to change things, but beyond that I can't break them to give me an advantage. Especially if it's only available to a few.

Bioware would have the burden of proof if they handed out bans like some people are suggesting in this forum. A little draconian considering many players have stumbled into the glitched lobbies on accident. I would love for all the glitched lobbies exp and promotions to be taken away and for this issue to be put to rest, but I do not see that solution happening because it would probably take a lot of man hours on the dev's part. All I am asking for at this point is for a quick fix to the current glitch. I feel your frustration Yanius.

Nor really , they got program codes, and they can check easy many things we can't, but there are ton of players who can confirm, there is good enough as well, but again, with program codes they can prove it and find out who was that quick enough

Hmmm, I really think that there needs to be some consequence to using the exploit. My vote is for taking away the points/stats gained while using it, if possible. It would be a fair way to do it, because that way those of us that thought we were getting a leg-up on everybody else would actually find that we were just wasting our time.
The first time I saw this glitch was when somebody invited me to a perilous match and insisted I bring in a level one keeper. I think there had just been some adjustment in the way that the support xp was counted in the game, so I assumed that whatever they wanted to show me had to do with that. I was rather shocked when I went from level 1 to 20 in one match. I stuck around for one more match, and then left to game with some of my regular playmates. We played around with different support classes, but were unable to produce anything other than normal results, so it left me wondering about what had actually been going on in that previous lobby.
In the next few days, I heard people talk about this glitch as they started to figure out what was going on. Some people talked about trying to replicate it. Anyways, when pugging I ended up in a group with the glitch. I knew what it was, and I stuck around for three promotions. However, having cheated by staying in this lobby started to weigh on my mind. For everything I've ever done in life, I liked to take pride in the fact that I could succeed without cheating. I didn't like people who cheated on tests at university, I didn't like people who cheated by intentionally injuring people in sports, and I don't like that I knowingly participated in cheating on this game and rationalized it with "Well, everybody else is doing it..." and "It's just a game."
Whether or not you will face consequences for having used the glitch shouldn't be what determines whether or not you use it. Have a little self respect and quit exploiting the glitch, guys.
So there's my confession. Please BW, take these five points/stats away. I know it's just a game, but I don't like that I cheated, and I don't like that other people are cheating as well.
On another note though, the revenant/arcane horror weekend challenge was a blast. It's too bad I wasn't able to play more. It was absolutely hilarious getting yanked back and forth between revenants on zone 5. Also, it was a great way to bring extra xp to the entire community.

Your comments here and on my thread are greatly appreciated.
I think it takes courage for you to come here and be honest. Most people have skirted any admission by masking it in what ifs and what have you nots.
I think your suggestion for repercussions is entirely fair, especially for a new bug, and people need to be notified. It would solve Bioware issues of having to sort out the intent of people, though the rest of us might have a good idea of what happened, and It might go a long way toward healing the growing rift that is forming in the community. Beyond that, repeat offenders need to be banned, at least for a specified amount of time, if found staying in a lobby beyond one game since they can spontaneously generate.
Some sort of fix must be forthcoming. I imagine it is a matter of time before someone discovers how to recreate these lobbies, if they haven't done so already. Bioware has known about this for a while so it will not be easy to deal with without retracting the latest upload (I can hear the screams now). However they are also silent on the matter, aside from small posts on other peoples threads, while in the meantime hostilities mount. They need to run their own thread.
