The executioner pistol in mass effect 3 was part of the dlc weapons pack called Groundside Resistance Pack. When I was doing a new playthrough and I got to the end of the mars mission, I had to shoot Dr Eva Core aka pre EDI after injuring Ashley or Kaiden. I used the executioner pistol (not upgraded) and even with a head shot, it only took away 99% health. Now remember that when you are required to shoot her down after she emerged from the flames, the game goes into a bullet-time mode aka a slow down effect. And due to the guns slow reload time and Eva's quick speed it would always result in her killing me, so since it auto reloaded the same final moments which kept on getting me killed all the time I had to reload to a point where I was near a work bench to swap pistols, and I had to replay roughly 15 minutes. So you cannot upgrade the guns to a higher level in that early part of the game, and in result you cant cause enough damage to kill her in a new playthrough. My point is please Bioware, if you release dlc weapons for Mass Effect Andromida please really make sure that you test all of your dlc guns especially when they are used in mission critical moments. Thanks.
Please BW avoid this problem with the Exocutioner pistol in MEA

When it happened to me, I was able to get past it by swapping weapons, instead of having to go back to an older save.

It is not just that pistol, several other slow reloading ones can't kill her either. You are, however, supposed to use the Predator during the Mars mission which is the only pistol you are supposed to have at that point.
Also, isn't it ironic that the pistol is called Executioner when that is exactly what it fails to do. Slightly Wounding Pistol would have been a more appropriate name.

I know that your suppose to only have the predator pistol but if bioware allows for dlc and other guns to work that early in the game, then they should have fixed that little problem. I hope they thoroughly test through their dlc content this time

Misleading thread title.
Bioware don't need to fix the glorious Executioner Pistol...they need to fix their stupid cut-scenes into action mechanics.

I agree with this more then changing the weapons themselves for my concern would be that to make sure all the weapons work in situations like the one you describe would make the situation more annoying then fix it.

How do you think I felt when I used the Acolyte

Yeah, a pain for me too.
But instead of reloading, you can swap weapons. Of course, if you don't just use the Pistol with your Character...
Well, they could make them available after the Prologue Part of the game (As in ME2, you didn't have access to the FirePower Pack Weapons until after being aboard the Normandy... Just make an E-mail or something. It's very strange for Shep just swap his/her Weapons like he already knew what that was. )
But if for example there are such scenes on the ME: Andromeda, make the character have a concealed pistol or something like that. Something that could be used on cutscenes and scenes like that (thus removing this problem and the Cutscene Programmed Weapons)

Yeah, that scene with Dr. Core was bogus. I did a replay direct and had the silenced pistol from Citadel DLC at level V and it wouldn't take her out. I had that and the Harrier. Fortunately, switching to the Harrier allowed me to take her down otherwise I would have had to restart the game which would have been bullsh*t.
