[Johnnie Walker]

Modern Disney is a hit and miss for me, but old ones were just about always a hit for me.

 

For me in this very particular order:

 

Hades

 

 

I love him because of his snarky, dark humor and he's cynical as f*ck (can relate to that tbh). And n*gga, he's the god of the underworld.

 

Jafar

 

 

Devilish sorcerer with dry humor (also relate to) and you know dat beard is kinda awesome.

 

Scar

 

 

Besides his sarcasm (something I often display), dis guy emotionally broke us then twisted a baby lion's mind, and turned the whole territory into ash and dust. Also, Be Prepared is just creepy in a good way.

 

Captain Hook

 

 

His temper and fear of the croc is just hilarious and the way he yells at Mr. Smee is amusing.

 

Madam Mim

 

Only because of the way she says and moves around like this.

 

 

And if you don't mind a clip that less than 25 seconds

 

Sid Phillips

 

 

Funny psychotic laugh, he's like Dr. Frankenstein but creates disfigured toys that actually kinda creepy (baby head octo wtf).

Scar. He's got to be the one. He murdered his brother in front of his nephew, then enslaved his nephews mother and starved the common people.

Shan Yu 

He's just a mean dude. He's arguably one of the baddest if not THE baddest Disney villain's. He's ruthless, cold blooded and has a thirst for war. He's also the one of the few villains that actually seems somewhat competent and villainous.

 

Plus that grin....

 

Prince John from Robin Hood. Because he's just a bumbling fool. But a funny one. And Robin Hood was one of the first Disney movies I watched.

He isn't that menacing but his wise cracks and moments of sarcasm always made me chuckle.

My favorite, and least favorite Disney Villain would be Xanatos. On one hand, some of the stuff he managed to pull(particuarly in Season 2) is Jaw-Dropping... on the other hand, jerkface overload. :| I enjoy subtle machinations as much as anyone, but geez.

Hades has my favorite personality. Lil bit of evil, lil bit of wit.

OPs list covers most of mine. The villain is the best character in literally every Disney movie. Except Sword and the Stone, Merlin and Mim are equally cool.

 

So yeah, Jafar, Scar, Maleficent, Hades (particularly love the way he's animated, and voiced by James Woods), etc.

 

And Sid is 100 times better than Andy. The guy's got a good imagination.

James Woods. 'Nuff said. The man generally brings the kind of charisma needed for any role he partakes.

Clayton
Voiced by the most legendary voice-over artist Brian EFFIN Blessed. A beriching statement on late 19th century imperialism and poachers.

Shere Khan
Hannibal Lecter meets Grand Moff Tarkin. A sophisticated and methodical tiger verging on sociopathy. He is articulate and polite in dealing with his victims. Like Lecter, he has a tragic backstory that helps build upon his less than positive characteriztioon -- He hates men, because they killed his entire family, and he has a precocious snake as his sidekick. All of it; Awesome.

Ratigan
Okay, Ratigan is awesome because 1) He is the anthropomorphic rat version of James Moriarty from "Sherlock Holmes," 2) He wears a cape, 3) He is a RAT that has a PET CAT.

Jafar
Quite simply -- An amoral psychotic. His blatant disregard for anybody but himself, and a penchant for pure evil, he is perhaps more consistently evil than his villainous brethren. Essentially, his entire goal is to trick Jasmine into being his slave queen, only so that he can kill her and take the throne. Yet, despite all of the unabated maleficence, there is something vaguely comical about his sense of humor and enduring flair for sarcasm, executed flawlessly with the help of his sidekick parrot Iago.

He was still my favorite as a kid. His design is so unique compared to all the other lions in the movie.

Going to give an honorable mention to Dr. Facilier from the Princess and the Frog too. Super underrated movie imho and Keith David making bad decisions with voodoo works for me on lots of levels.

Great topic too, OP. But gushing about Disney villains will always be one of those small joys for me.
