I wouldn't want to see Bioware cut down its resources on creating companion characters. The companions are the best part about DA. That and its romance are the very thing Bioware can never be beaten at when compared to The Witcher games (though I do wish the next DA game includes a parenting sim like in the later half of TW3).

Bioware interviews on DAI prior to its release frequently had them boasting about how BIG the levels are and while that turned out to be true, once most played the game after a while its made clear that bigger is not better. I would totally welcome the decision to not have big open world-ish levels in favour of smaller worlds like Origins and DA2 but like TW3, more "dense" by including well-scripted NPC's that carry on their daily activities so that cities and villages feel more alive and are fun to visit frequently. Also, I'd really like the return of the floating dialogue texts over NPC heads than having all NPC conversations dialogue texts sharing the same spot at the top of the screen... I friggin hate that.

Please bear in mind that this is the spoiler board for DAI alone, not for every game in creation.
