Thanks for listening and getting what I mean!! Seriously, everyone is just going "They want to avoid it. So they will avoid it. Point."
You haven't actually said why they're wrong to say that. If Bio doesn't avoid it, what do you want them to do?

Monica, maybe they're better off avoiding it all but it is true they striped everything I like most about the game and scenario, the characters, the locations, home worlds, lore, milky way.I am so anxious about it. I want to know what happened to those I loved in the Shepard Triology. Like, maybe, with individual biographies done for every single one of them just... because they met Shepard, or for their also quite danm surprising own acomplishments. They deserve it. Especially my romance.
I'm more than happy not knowing what happens to them after 3.
I heard 95% of them passed from old age.
I think there will be a reference to the fighting on earth, but that is all. They won't know if we defeated the reapers or not, I don't think there will be any contact with the original ME crew..., which I think is a good thing. Gives EA the chance to write a whole new trilogy. (Lets just hope they DON'T go down the micro transistion road).
Cheers

An excellent idea, that the crew is unaware of the final apocalyptic ending. Which means the Codex entries will have convenient "holes" and allow for a brand new story unencumbered by the trilogy.
Welcome to my own personal hell Monica. I've been barking up that tree for the past three years. And after the past five years of developing attachment to characters (Bioware's one strong point), they end the trilogy in the most open-ended manner possible and tell people who are left wondering what happened to their beloved characters to basically just deal with it. #ARTISTICINTEGRITY.
It's like having an itch build up on your backside for half a decade but never having enough money to buy a back scratcher. Finally, after the five long years, you acquire a back scratcher, but just as you get ready to use it.....
Only five years? Psh. Rookie.
Bioware's been doing broad and open-ended character endings for a lot longer than that. Even Dragon Age Origins and Jade Empire gave minimal details on the post-game, and Jade Empire was ten years ago.
If you haven't spotted the pattern of at least the last decade, then it's about time you realize that open-ended epilogues aren't a bug of the Bioware formula- it's a feature.

Um....did we play the same game? Jade Empire did not have an open-ended ending. At all. And neither did Origins.
You could have a little codex entry for each of them, with a brief biography and what they did after ME3 (if they survived). But if we leave the Milky Way before the end of ME3, we definitely won't find out.
Personally, I enjoy having the freedom to headcanon it, especially since some would surely change depending on the ending you picked.

Doubtful. Mass Effect is about head canon as much as it is about choice.
Whatever you think happened. Happened. So think happy thoughts.
I'm perfect with ambiguity.
Given how difficult the endings could be to integrate, I can't see them being a part of any new Mass Effect game...

I guess I'm the pessimist then cause I'm assuming every squadmate died in end of ME3 except Kaidan (LI) and Joker and since they were stranded with Normandy on some planet they died after some time as well.
assuming they're alive.
Wrex is rebuilding Tuchanka
Zaeed's chillin on a beach somewhere
Miranda's rebuilding some human planet
Jacob's teaching or something
Kasumi's messing about with a VI of her dead boyfriend or pouting over it
Samara's chillin on Thessia or hunting Morinth
Javik writes a book with Liara or commits sudoku
as for the rest
because they probably aren't returning......except Liara. She'll be there, so get ready to rustle.

Instead of getting into the weeds there, let's just get right to KotOR. Yoy've got the LS and DS victory party cutscenes, and then the game just ends. Which is wholly traditional for Star Wars, and movies generally, but tells you nothing whatsoever about the fate of the characters and places.
And as I recall DA:O didn't do a follow up for each character, did it?
Never played the EC?
Actually no, read about it and watched some of it in youtube though. There is extra cut-scene? I don't remember. ![]()
Yeah, a bunch of stuff. In relevant part, all squadmates survive unless you're playing a low-EMS game, abd in high-EMS games the Normandy is repaired and flies off. We also see pictures of some of the ME2 squadmates getting on with their lives.
Oh, I didn't know it was that different ^^; I did knew that squadmates had higher changes to survive though.
I need to replay it again with extended cut I guess ![]()
You can have a playthrough with most squadmates dead with high ems, Shepard surviving and the Normandy flying away from the whatever planet. It doesn't have to be limited to a low ems playthrough
this in from Bioware... yeah they all died.. apparently they all died from Space Herpies... yeah you know that Turian Barman?

How strange. I wasn't given this memo when ME 1 was released.

Yes, let's completely ignore the two games that prove my point right.
