I can see how others wouldn't view it as a problem, but for someone who was involved with and invested in the prior EU, it doesn't sit well with me.
Disney is basically unpersoning the entire EU. And as I tried to explain as best as possible, they really don't need to go that far to get their point across that it's not their story.
Essentially, they're forcing their brand of the story on you while trying to hide the fact that the old was still thriving, strong, and remarkably consistent with itself (and trust me, it was).
As I can't say enough times, they had no true need to lock it. Just let the EU fans know that their (the EU fans) universe is no longer the 'Prime' universe, so to speak, and that while it is no longer the official or canon universe, it still exists as an AU, and could be continued as such. I'd have been perfectly accepting of that. And so would most of the EU fans, and Disney, and the general ignorant populace at large.
Disney had a chance to have their cake and eat it too. And they decided not to take the chance to make everyone happy by not capitalizing on it.
Disney needed to kill the entire line, regardless, to avoid confusion and to push their continuity which would supplant it. If they didn't outright kill the line, people would ask for more stories in it, which would be an absolutel "No" from Disney's POV.
There's no world were the old EU continuing would work for Disney's plans, which involve making sequels to the OT and selling media related to those sequels.

>pretending TOR doesn't already have Mission-But-Legal in it.
what I am suggest is retcon some elements but I will never suggest a total Retcon of The Old Republic. I would suggest an more balance view in that fans and Developers demands.
I am the school of Thought that Revan and Jedi Exile shouldn't be within The Old Republic and The Old Republic is a good enough game to have them NOT within the game itself.
Eh, I'm more mad about how BioWare destroyed the Exile and shamed Revan into a cartoon special, more than the fact that they were actually there. There was always a canon Revan, and the romances were always canon regardless, and Exile. Not to say that I wouldn't be happier with TOR itself being more in KotOR's timeframe.

Fem Warrior and Vette are best team.

Within one of my ideas of a Kotor 3, Revan, Ajunta Pall and Post Kotor 2 Nerf to Hell Darth Nihilus join forces to Stop a dark future where everyone dies and Vitate does success in his mission. Well My idea does keep Vitate OP as hell but him having a weakness, The Weakness is the Star Chamber. Star Chamber helps regulate his internal energies, after so many centuries and the force energies of several Sith Lords and an entire planet, he has several in time and space and each of them are linked to each other. so the Player as Revan can choose anywhere in Time to find a Star Chamber and defeats its guardian. In the End game, you, Ajunta Pall and Nihilus are at the Battle of Malachor 5 during the Mandalorian Wars, (your Jedi Exile is carried over from Kotor 2 in gender and appearance and class), You found a Sith Assassin that Nihilus knew from the True Sith Empire that help making everything go to hell. Revan and Ajunta Pall chases her down into the past where before the time the Sith Emperor was born. You find out the Sith Assassin was Sith Emperor/Vitate's Mother. You have a choice to kill her or capture her. Also you can join Markos Ragnos as a New Sith Lord if you want too. Yes there is a choice to go home and Ragnos will let you and Ajunta go for he has no problem with you. Also if you go back you re enter the battle of Malchor 5 and you will have to save Jedi Exile, right after you will have to save Jedi Exile and Bao Dur. Of course Bao Dur still lose his arm. Also If you save your Jedi Exile, she will fade in and out of conscienceness and says Revan.
I do hope that summary has some potential of being a good Kotor 3.
I want to romance Mission.

well Legal Age will vary from Planet to Planet. Also if they have a Kotor 1 Remaster, I would love have a more active Jedi Academy with variety of Jedi to have more sidequests to do. Same with Sith Academy on Korriban with more sidequests. and more flirt options to various Jedi and Sith Alike.
HK-47 or GTFO
OF course able to get Hk-47 should be a major part of Kotor 1 and 2 and if there did a Kotor 3 able to get Hk-47 if the player wants too. Hk-47 and T3-M4 are the demented C3PO and R2D2 of Kotor
as a Fan of Hk-47, I do think that there should be a sidequest for Hk-47 and Canderous in finding the Mandalore within the Shadowland and learning ties to the Sith before Revan and Malak and Canderous recovering Mandalore the Ultimate's Mask and Hk-47 and Canderous help gather some mandalorian. Thus bridging the gap between Kotor 1 and 2.
also I would love to have a greater role for T3-M4.
I like many of the Kotor characters a great deal. I have heard a old rumor that Carth and Bastila were supposed to hook up if your Revan went dark or something or other and a potential love triangle.
I'd rather they just reboot it within the new expanded universe.
With the combat of DA:I and created as a trilogy in mind like Mass Effect, except have the trilogy planned out from the beginning.
I like many of the Kotor characters a great deal.
I do to, except I love mostly KotOR 2 characters.
Especially considering that for me:
Mentor figure: Kreia>>>>>>Bastilla/Jolee
Guy with troubled past: Atton>Carth
Wookie: Hanharr>Zaalbar
Former Dark Jedi female of alien race: Visas>Juhani
Antagonist: Traya>>>>>>Malak
Sadly, we probably won't get another SW game of KotOR 2 caliber, because I don't think Obsidian is interested (especially now, with all this mess that the new SW canon is), and BioWare is not capable of pulling off something that deep (they are great at epic hero stories, but not at what I would expect from a Star Wars RPG).

Well As a fan of both, this is the reason I would pay extra in order to bring both Kotor 1 and 2 into current or later gen/PC in the future and in canon and a Proper Kotor 3 as well and with Kotor 2 Restoration Mod for Kotor 2.
Side Note: Kreia is a better Mentor but Bastila is prettier.
Bastilla wasn't meant to be a mentor. She acted like it, but she was obvious waifu-bait. That is why she's 19, and Revan is 38. You don't get mentored, in a story, by someone half your age.

true, but her role is meant to be an observer. I don't mind Revan being 38 or older as a personal rule but having a confirmed age for Revan or the Jedi Exile leaves a bad taste in my mouth. with any player characters, senseable flexiblity within the context of the story is a good thing when Roleplaying.
Every time I see people asking for KotOR3, Half Life 3, Battlefront 3, a working 100% MCC, a unicorn, and or the second coming of Jesus....It's just not going to happen.
Well, KOTOR 2 has gotten an update now and it won't get better than that -- I need to replay it again. I might have to reinstall it on Steam, since I already had the Restoration Mod installed so I imagine that will bugger it all up a bit.

Yes, Jen Hale TOTALLY sounded nineteen...

She acted nineteen in her personal quest though, just saying. And the way she went over the "dark" side and to Malak at that. He is an average villain at best (and thats beeing generous).
Wat
That's their "canon" ages during the game. I for one wanted to Revan to be late 20's - early 30's myself, but eh.
During KotOR 2, The Exile is 34, being about a decade older than Bastila, and Atris is about 29, being only about five years older than Bastila. Because you know, all female characters in the Revan novel have, "older than Bastila," as a base for ages.

"I think you're pretty great, so stop killing people please."
"Do you love me?"
"Will you probably kill yourself if I say no?"
"Yes."
"Then I guess my hands are tied.."
Definitely 19.

Atris is 29? Wat.
I figured she was probably somewhere in her 40's. And Bastila being 19 isn't too far off from what I've always assumed, which is early 20's, 25 at most.

Dialogue in the game specifies him as being 25, unless you're getting this from that awful novel.
During KotOR 2, The Exile is 34
No, that is never specified in the game and is ultimately up to the player. And I don't know where you are getting Atris' age from either -- The same garbage novel probably.
