Those looking for some videos on cartoons(besides the episodes) may want to check these out. Channel Frederator has Did You Know facts and Theories on pretty much everything old and new. Channel Awesome, home of Nostalgia Critic, also has a *ton* of stuff worth seeing.

Regular Show needs to come back soon.

And Disney needs to fix the schedule for Gravity Falls.

What about Space Jam?

At first it looks like a live action movie with cartoon elements. But what if it's a cartoon with live action elements....

Very, very nice thread, I like it a lot!!  :)

As for something contemporary, not yet mentioned (I believe) let me introduce Over the Garden Wall. It's a 10 episode miniseries and it's about... well, two boys lost in the wood. I'd strongly advise to simply watch the first 2-3 episodes and then decide if it's interesting to you (do not read up on it, spoilers aren't exactly your friend here). The episodes are only about 10-11 minutes long, so it's not that big a commitment to give it a try. It can be a little weird here and there (okay, maybe more than a little), but I found it a really satisfying watch overall.

Here's the intro, to get an impression of the art style (and the music ^^):

An acid trip in all the right ways, consider it added. :)

I found it a great deal more intriguing than most of the stuff out now, originally got introduced to it by Tommy O, was not dissapointed. :) It has a vibe that'll remind people of adventure time, somewhere between that and perhaps something from Brothers Grimm? It's got amazing art style to boot and some strange theories on the story. The first episode's free right here.

Finished the first 2 episodes of Code LYOKO. Use of CGI in Cartoons isn't unheard of, but alternating between full CGI and Hand-Drawn is a good deal less common. I like the whole ReBoot meets Megaman Battle Network(or its equivalent) formula. They add a bit of interest to it with Xana and the mysterious symbol. Character-Wise, some are more mature for their age, whereas Ms. Cheerleader isn't quite my favorite. Very cool overall.

Also, Giant Foreheads. o.O

Ooh.. ooh! Jem and the Holograms!
What's truly outrageous (seewhatididthere?) about that one is that Rio is basically cheating on Jerrica with Jem and she doesn't seem to mind.
I'm confident the live action film will be immensely disappointing.

I just watched the first season of BoJack yesterday.  It took a few episodes for me to warm up to it, but it's pretty clever.  I'll hit the second season soon.

This thread is good for my Netflix list.

Surprisingly Jem still seems to hold up pretty much now...   I am more then sure a live action movie will of course spoil all that..

Saw the trailer, felt like I was watching a Hannah Montana movie >.<

I've a bit more faith in Bojack Horseman from what I've seen though. They've got the sort of protagonist that feels close to Californication.

In either case, I'll be checking out some shows I missed over the weekend.
People seem pumped with Samurai Jack, and I've never seen an episode. >_> So it begins.

Started Gargoyles.

Xanatos is da man.

I knew I'd like him from the moment he came out.

Something within me just loves a good villain way more than any protagonist.

Xanatos reminds me a bit of a quote from Sun Tzu.

“Every battle is won before it’s ever fought.”

A master tactician, he's a clever little bastard who deserves a combination of respect and fear.

It has universal acclaim. I'd say watch the first episode and see if it fits your fancy. Otherwise, don't worry about it.

As for me, I finished the first 2 of Samurai Jack and came away very impressed. :) It has a more serious tone(with a hint of goofy) compared to its PPG Comic-Book cousin. I'm curious if the stealth game Mark of the Ninja took inspiration from this. As far as story, so far so good and episode 2 took me quite by surprise.

I may just have to finish this thing. XD

I am going to find it....

I hope the series ends with a conclusion so many cartoons just end... unfinished stories

Something within me just loves a good villain way more than any protagonist.

And you'll see that Xanatos is more than just a villain. Sometimes he is simply the trickster, pulling the strings from the shadows and seeing how events unfold, both for good and bad. Sometimes he is even an ally, and sometimes a hero.

It has.

Meaning if you end the show with season 2. Skip season 3, because the quality is quite low compared to the other two, due to the original director leaving the project, so the show essentially becomes your everyday morning cartoon. And it ends with several plot threads open in the air. It's a mess, really.

Hence why there is a comic book that picks right up after S2, ignoring S3 altogether. But yes, the show still ends on a satisfying note.

It IS weird that Hollywood haven't done anything with MASK, yet. He-Man too, for that matter.

And in true 2010s movie style they're talking about a re-boot (I would actually be OK with that one).
