Is PC MP dead in all timezones?

I've come back to the game after a while, to have some fun like I once had in ME3 MP, but it seems the lobby is pretty much dead after only 8 months (ME3 lasted longer). I played (tried to) yesterday at 4am CEST home (I'm from Spain), so I was effectively in American time (10pm EDT, 9pm CDT, 7pm PDT), I first found a game with 2 people only, and then I kept running into the same single dude.

Now today I check at European time (3pm CEST), still no one in lobby, and none of my RL friends even have this game.

So, does anyone still play? Or is it that people just play private now?

Cheers

EDIT: I'm not too much for the pressure of extreme difficulties (and didn't get too far in my original run), so I've always kept to Routine difficulty. However, I searched all difficulties and still no one.

If you want to you can add me. I am a PC user but in the U.S., I know sometimes that playing with other countries can cause the game to be buggy. My username is  Kala_nightfire  if you wish to add me or if you just see me around. I tend to try to play whenever I can

Sticking to routine difficulty might be the source of your issue. With the new armor upgrades and stuff it's easy to just start on threatening. That's what most do now. Lvl 1 straight to threatening

Done, thanks. :)

The thing with other countries, I'm guessing that'd be because of ping times (bandwidth issues). I'm on cable (optic fiber), so I should get rather decent speeds, even across the ocean.

Well, I have no problem with upping the difficulty if I'm on a competent party (including myself of course). I know from experience in ME3 that people used to go into harder difficulties without the capacity to win, which lead to a waste of time because it was an assured defeat. But like I said, the lobbies were absolutely empty in all difficulties, at least on those 2 days.

However, I managed to find some people yesterday and added them as friends. Hopefully I can get a consistent run now. :)

Cheers
