I edited my post. Honestly, you don't think Cereberus experimented on them, took them back somewhere to husk/mutate them all? That was their MO, after all. Experimenting on people they capture and/or lure into a trap in order to figure out how to control the Reapers..
No, I don't think that. Why would I? It is not stated anywhere that Cerberus did that to Noveria.
No need to be sarcastic either.

I'm not trying to be mean or rude to you. I'm trying to present the facts here. Those being:
1) They want to set it as far away from Shep as possible, both in time and in space.
2) Any NPCs that were active during the Reaper War would have knowledge of the ending of the war. The devs are avoiding that.
3) They are dead due to Cerberus, Reapers, or good old fashioned short lifespans. Unless you want to get into cryo stasis, every single NPC could be dead by the time ME:A rolls around.
Those aren't facts. Bioware has yet to state that the reason for the move was to avoid the endings. That idea was spawned by the fans.
I think either the trip will be instantaneous, or stasis pods will be used.
You say that "fate is going to conspire" against you if they don't have a single NPC from the ME trilogy. I'm trying to warn you to not allow yourself to get too upset if you don't see anyone.
Edit: There is some NPCs I would love to see in ME:A, but I am not getting my hopes up. If the new ME game was set in the Milky Way and closer to the events of ME3, then I could see it.
Don't worry. I'm already assuming the worst of this game. I'll still be upset, but at least I won't be disappointed.
