Have you heard? Inquisition multiplayer for PC is now free and unlimited! Those of us who bought the entire game on the last gen? We get NOTHING! Thanks, Bioware! Smootches!

This is just a guess, but probably because PC users don't have to pay for an additional service to access online games.

Complain to your console god..overlord...service provider, BioWare has nothing to do with preventing you from playing online unless you get a premium subscription. Direct your anger and frustration appropriately at Sony/MS.

Current gen doesn't have it either, not Bioware's fault for reasons stated above.

Since you all are having a little bit of trouble understanding what my post is referencing, let me make this clear: Bioware / EA took money from we ps3 and xbox 360 players who they will no longer support in patches or dlc for inquisition. We actually paid for a game, get dropped for support and are told we have to buy the game AGAIN if we wish to continue our story. PC players who never bought the game now have the opportunity to download the mp for free. You know, people who never financially supported this game. Nice to know that bioware supports non paying "customers" and expects ps3 and 360 paying customers to fork over more money. *spits*

So, you decided to make yet another thread saying the same thing that 10 other threads are saying? That's just brilliant! Good show!

You mean that PC players can play MP without buying base game?

So you basically made a misleading thread that has no connection to the old gen issue

Then I'm assuming you're talking about the DA:I trial on Origins. In which case I'll go back to my original point, which is because PC users don't pay for an additional service and therefore it's possible to allow unlimited MP.

More or less.. They put a trial version of DA:I on Origin (that you can download for free ) which let you play 6 hours of the SP and gives you unlimited access to MP.

Sounds like quite aggressive marketing tactic. It's just that you quite clearly see which crowd Bioware and EA wants to sell their product at and it's sad that it lessens experience of some of the players. Well, talking more about patches, information and dev attention that came to other groups over others quite clearly here ^^; I would be fine with marketing tactics like that otherwise, but now it seems like.. well PC people get lot of content free (SP for while, but still), but giving old gen players new gen ver of game free when they already have base game so they can buy BW's stuff is too much? I don't think so..

Well.. I have the impression that they are desperately trying to attract more players to MP (and consequently to Microtransactions) in every possible way, first with Dragon Props and now with this.. therefore I don't think they are doing this thing because they want to favor PC players over the others but just because it was possible because of Origin system and thanks to the fact that PC players won't have to pay a subscription to Sony or Microsoft. I am pretty sure that if there was a way to promote MP and give free access to it also for console players they would use it.

False. I mentioned old gen systems. Not my fault you don't pay attention to the forums.

No, just no.

I'm not talking about paying for internet services, I'm talking they get to download the game for free. No paying for it. I play on ps3. I do not have to pay to play mp, but I did have to buy the game to play mp.

If Bioware could give consoles free multiplayer, I am sure they would offer free multiplayer.

However, Sony and Microsoft probably still want their "portion" of sales revenue ... and free does not offer any sales revenue for Microsoft or Sony.

EA can offer DAI MP for a free download on Origin as EA controls the entire revenue stream and owes nothing to Microsoft, Sony or retail / e-tail sellers.
