Shepard is dead, the Crew is dead (for the most part), Andromeda is a new galaxy. Time to let the first Trilogy go. No useless fan service to the original trilogy please.

I would really hate this idea, to be honest. I'm not a fan of babies/children, or having them be the perfect ending to every character's story.While my Sheps/Wardens etc are never self-inserts, I never imagine them having kids. The one exception is with Morrigan's romance. I certainly wouldn't want it to be canon with every Shepard (even assuming you could do that with aliens). Especially considering that some of my Sheps remained single for the whole trilogy.
