The thread is essentially still on topic. I don't feel that I have derailed it. I don't think any of my responses were unwarranted.

I've been on BSN a few years now. It doesn't make me an expert, but I've seen things... 
I wouldn't worry. By BSN standards, the previous page is still solidly on the blue side of the line. If it progresses to the "Scrub!" "L2P!" stage, I will apologize for my incorrect assessment (as well as expect credit for the rapid-fire thread-bumping entertainment that would inevitably ensue.)
But to acknowledge your desire regarding on topic conversation, I do believe there are a variety of factors at play. I have experienced improvement in several areas of matchmaking. I think that's a combination of an increase in the quality of my own connection from about 4 months ago, as well as improvements made by BioWare on their side.
What I wish I understood better were the reasons for the matchmaking region-lock (or whatever it is) and the details of how it works. We would be in a better position to offer BioWare suggestions about what we think would work better if we had that information. Most likely, there are legal and business reasons as to why they can't tell us, but it remains frustrating to tackle the issue with limited information.

I think it may well be both of my guesses:
The only part that bothers me is that I'm apparently being accused of a couple of things that are some kind of secret that I'm not allowed to know. I really would prefer that he just tell me what these accusations are supposed to be, instead of these weird sideways insults that only he seems to understand.
He's into some sick **** called "looping", and apparently got a nasty infection from it. Don't hold it against him.
