ok I dont know about you all but, I would just absolutely just love to have a small window that showed statistic info on our characters so we know exactly how skills armor and weapons work, heck make it another type of viewing.

example of some things I'd love to see..

min/max damage (wit modifiers in green)

crit %

min/max crit damage

max health

total HoK + Weapon Bonuses in green( factoring in heal bonus items for armor and from belt)

total HP ( of selected character)

total stamina

attack speed

maybe add a shiftier so we can see values at different lvls from on to 1 to 20

attack % add by will power

def% based off of con wil and cun

please put any additions below and comment if you think this would be a good addition or bad

Add weapons heal bonus to the list.  Sounds like a cool idea.  Something like where players can see each other's stats in a lobby may/would be helpful.

If you can manage it, try and make as many of your threads and posts like this one as possible. That's my suggestion.

I would love to know these things. The only way to see my crit chance is if I look at that flanking crit chance double passive and that only tells me up to 50%. It's a bit silly.

Fully agree.
What is strange is that they have that kind of statistic in single player which displays everything pretty much.
Just why they didn't use it in multiplayer is beyond me.

Signed, for all the good that will do. It's been brought up before with no result. It's something that they are probably aware of, they'll do it or they won't. Nothing we can do now but wait.

Crit % can be worked out through adding up cunning and any gear which modifies crit chance

HoK can be worked out through counting

Total HP is the same as max health, not sure why you added this twice, but its +5 per consitution + any gear you might have. Not sure on the very base values, I suspect its something like 500 for a mage, 750 for a rogue and 1250 for a warrior? Idk im guessing that last one.

Stamina is 100 + any gear/weapon modifiers

Attack speed? How do you even quantify this? In kmph? swings per second? I dont really know what you could measure this one. DPS is indicated in huge numbers on every weapons

Shifter for values between 1 and 20? Doesnt that depend on what skills you choose?

Willpower % is your total - 10 / 2.

Same for defense values.

Its incredibly easy to work out the values for everything you just asked. Surely in 2500+ hours of game time you know this though right?

You can painstakingly map all these out but they will change based on passives selected and such. I can see some value in having a screen that adds all this up for you and has it all in one place. I'm kind of confused why there isn't one. The character sheet is a foundation in EVERY rpg ever created (even the pen and paper ones.)

Well, it's a great idea nevertheless. Not all of us have played 2500+ hours, and you have to factor in the people that are not frequent flyers with the forums. I know a great deal of people that would benefit from it and that would certainly be a cool addition.

Sadly, I don't see the devs having time and resources to do it but it's definitely something I'd like to see.

Probably not for everyone. I suspect most people who play wouldn't know how to come up with the numbers. And including a page with secondary calculated attributes or abilities is actually very common in games like this. DAMP is unusual in this regard. Even DA:I's SP character sheet includes a page with some of the calculations that he suggested.

willpower seems to me to be more to 1% then.5 and why -10 the first 10 to all stats should be factored in other wise why do we start with 10 why not start at 0 if thats the case, still not convinced the cap for defv is 80% like drasca says, we have talked about it and I know I just refuse...lol until you show me a dev post or a dev comments lol. because I haven't seen any thing other then fan boys post anything about statistics its mostly theory until a dev comments on it , but iif they have please direct me to that post I would love to see it. and calculating stuff our selves....man this is generation NOW.... no one wants to bust out pen and paper

Medallian,

I don't understand why you continue to refuse to believe the information that is all fact and has been confirmed BY bioware. I will find you a dev comment on this so you will stop with this "well i think its something else" nonsense.

Isn't it part of the game that you are supposed to figure this out yourself?

Or at least go as far as to look it up in a FAQ or on a forum

Gamers are dumb enough as it is without companies doing even the nerdiest math for them

I am sorry but I only half believe what I read on forums and the internet,  :/ unless theres credible citations but a very good thanks for the links.... and I don't trust no wikies lol..... if you can use them as credible citations in collage then I don't trust it lol, usually any one can add to and change a wiki, and if willpower is 0.5 can some one please explain my damage out put cuz 0.5 doest seem to explain it only at 1% but thanks for the clarification on it.

These responses don't really make much sense, to me.

1 - Generally, games don't need you to perform secondary math. The ones that do are exceptionally rare. For every example of a game that makes you do your own math that you can provide, I can probably provide a hundred examples of games that don't.

2 - Since the suggestion was made in the forum for the game in question, you telling him that he should go to the game's forums is, at best, redundant.

3 - Requiring the player to perform secondary math has nothing to do with whether a game is "dumbed down." In fact, a smart game should probably avoid wasting its players' time requiring meta-math if it can, especially when the software already performs the calculations, regardless. If I'm playing Civilization IV, I want to do math, and will spend an hour on a turn, if necessary. When playing DAMP, why the heck would I want to be doing math equations for secondary attributes? If I wanted to play a paper and dice RPG and do all the math myself, it stands to reason that I wouldn't buy an action RPG, I'd buy Champions of Krynn or something like that. (Edit: Actually, I now remember that Champions of Krynn uses a character sheet with your character's secondary attributes calculated.)

And why would you link me a calculator? What evidence do you have that I would need one? Were you trying to imply that I'm "dumb?"

Calculating my stats on my Archer is easy:

Crit Chance%: I have 79 cunning + 16 from Armour + 15 from passives (variable) + 10 from Amulet. dived by 2... hang on just let me add this up...

                        that's 120 / 2 = 60%. So 60% + 16% from bow + 5% from passive gives me 81%. That wasn't hard

Crit Damage%: I start with a base of 140% + 54% from bow (variable) + 20% from ring, gives me 214%. Throw in the 18 dex from passives (variable) for a

                        total of 223%

Max Health%: I have 48 con. How this translates to the Archer I have no friggin idea + 100 health belt + does any of his passives give con? + whatever my

starting health is??? = 900ish near max lvl, only discoverable from the fade.

Attack%: Willpower is 56 - 10 / 2 = 23%. now i'll just check my bow, or, I might change my bows stats today, oh hang on, ive got Willpower on my Armour

                      right? Sheeesh.

Armour pen%: this ones easy; 16% on my bow + 25% from passive plus after my first hit I sunder for ?% progressively for 6 seconds stacking.

HoK + HoH%: its written on the bow!!! Woohoo!

Whooh, what else is there? might scratch my face for awhile and hope I'm on the right track....

Oh! that's right! defensive stats. I have 120 cunning (variable) - 10 / 2 = 55% range defence, still cant remember if Archer gets con from a passive so we'll just say melee is somethingsomething, and as for magic defence well on Nightmare I get insta gibbed by electric mines so who the hell really cares.

Oh and just for the mathematicians who think this is easy, it has taken my 15 minutes to type this with 2 fingers x 15 characters =.......(opening calculator app) 225 minutes / 60 = To Bloody Long!! Then of course we have all the variables associated with levelling up to equate for =

Where's my Bloody Stat Screen?!?!?!
