I've been thinking about the events of inquisition and possible ending there for the Wardens. It would be a interesting twist if the Grey Wardens was the cause of the next blight following the events in inquisition. Like some side-effect from the "fake" calling.

How would that be possible? A Blight occurs when an Old God is corrupted by the Blight. Grey Wardens can't corrupt things with the Blight.

Wardens that live to their Calling go into the Deep Roads to kill as many darkspawn as possible and die gloriously rather than slowly from blight sickness.

However, both The Calling and DA2: Legacy confirm that not every warden that goes through their "Calling" dies, but rather become highly functional ghouls.

Which did give me a thought...what if a Warden was captured alive by the darkspawn or decided to actually join the darkspawn? Since the darkspawn waste nothing, I could see them corrupting that warden further into some kind of high general for darkspawn surge or the next blight.

That's one way that I could see a Grey Warden causing the next blight, by helping the darkspawn find the next old god and then become it's second-in-command.

The wardens have the blight-corruption in their veins. What if a Warden becoming a ghoul can corrupt an Old God? Or as a side effect by the events in inquisition become closer to the blight and by that start coorrupting things. I'm only giving my thoughts about a possible future in Dragon age. Wardens against Corrupted Wardens trying to locate an old god intended to slay it but more likley to corrupt it.

Well... It would have been foreshadowed. Let me quote Bodahn exactly, a rumor he can tell you about in DAO (right to your face even knowing you're a warden :?).

Bodahn: There's a nasty rumor going around that the Grey Wardens are evil and that they worship the archdemon. They're the ones that caused the Blight! They were getting upset, see, that there was no use for them anymore...so they summoned up the archdemon to do their bidding. It would explain a great many things.
