Only I'm curious about it? I mean it would be cool to see them without suit. Quarians were disappointment but I still would like to know.

I've always imaging them looking like miniature, bipedal walruses without the tusks.  Don't ask where I got that from, because I have no real idea.

Would like to see what they actually look like, though.....

well there's only one way to answer this question: volus romance for ME:A

I expect 3 games of buildup followed by them taking a stock photo of Danny Devito, colouring it yellow-green (because ammonia) and drawing some lines on it.

Well, you asked for it. I wasn't able to view volus in the same way after seeing this fan art rendition:

Haha, that's actually pretty close to how I imagined them. :)

They lack a penis? Or does it roll out from beneath the fat?

The funny thing is that we'll probably never know now unless they put it in the codex or something. We're leaving the MW galaxy, so no chance of visiting Irune with its unique high pressure atmosphere and ammonia based ecology. It's not like with quarians where the suit's just the result of an immunology issue in an otherwise unorthodox oxygen-nitrogen earth-like atmosphere breathing species, volus suits are pressurized and the ammonia canisters are essential just to enable them to function, so it is unlikely we will ever see them one outside of one unless we get to visit one of their own dedicated ships (such as the Kwunu) or something.

Not necessarily. The Volus in the Milky Way have colonized other planets, which have similar conditions to Irune. There are a couple on the GMs of ME1/2/3. There is no reason why they can't find a suitable planet in Andromeda.

@Beren Erchamion: Now that is adorable. Forget the space hamster, we need a miniature volus.

For the record, I did not draw that and I have no idea who did.  I just posted it once in a thread after seeing it online and a friend remembered that when they read this thread.  Just don't want to take credit for whoever did actually do it.
