Whether it's reading the books or watching the films man.... Even knowing he comes back it still gets me... Gandalf was a stand up guy.
I would put Boromir's death as a close second too.
Just when you thought this troubled and dark tale might have had a happy ending...

I think GoFF is a feel feast the whole way through....
True enough. The ending would be better off in a thread called 'Scenes from movies you've been crying to the whole time anyways yet still manage to hit you like a speeding locomotive', but we don't have one of those. So I made do.

Each time democracy failed humanity and I had to watch Twilight with friends during movie night. It's is so painfully bad, I cri evrytiem!
Good thing we abolished that event after a couple friends moved. Urrgh, I already hate forced socializing, but forced socializing by watching awful movies has to violate the Geneva conventions.

I daren't even get a clip of it.
Have you seen their latest two films, The Tale of Princess Kaguya, and When Marnie was There? My goodness, why Ghibli?! I love them though.

The latest of theirs I saw was The Wind Rises, and that was in a similar vein. I've been meaning to watch Kaguya but I'd somehow never heard of the other... I'll have to give it a look!

'When Marnie was There' is their most recent, and it is incredibly good (and for some reason it isn't receiving much coverage. Word to the wise, it's trailer is misleading). Kaguya is wonderful! I am honestly surprised that it didn't win an oscar.
