Why does it seem like the Native American Race is just excluded from almost every Role Playing Game? ![]()
EDIT: I do not want to see another post stating that Native Americans are "Nearly Extinct" It has been expressed multiple times and is simply untrue. Or a post that says that if a Native American preset was made that every single other race would need to be made into a preset. I HAVE ALREADY TALKED ABOUT THIS:
EDIT 2: I also think there should be a new Asian Race preset, as I believe there is one, though BioWare should make a better one.
I'm pretty sure Ancient Egyptian features are not around anymore, and maybe can be made anyway by changing a Caucasian preset, and as I said before, many Races can be created by using other presets, but Native Americans and Inuits have distinct facial Features. A Native American Face preset would cover many Races from the Americas I think, like maybe descendants of Central American Natives. Look at this:
Did you see this?
I was wrong about Egyptian features not being around anymore, because I don't know if they are around or not.
And I do not want to see irrelevant posts and posts that say "Deal with it"
Many of the posts I quoted seem like they are trying to suppress the Idea of having a Native American preset. Why? It's a simple request. There is NO need to argue.
The Mass Effect class system has already resolved this issue:
Soldier/Black
Adept/Asian
Engineer/Caucasian
Infiltrator/Black+Caucasian
Vanguard/Black+Asian
Sentinel/Asian+Caucasian
*Composit/Black+Asian+Caucasian
Bioware simply does a preset for each of these and all the various races/ethnic groups of the world are covered. All of them.
Be satisfied.
*Not actually available in-game but possible in-universe.
And the vast majority of those 130 million aren't pure-bred native Japanese (e.g. ainu) people.
Pure-bred native Japanese people are definitely dying out, just like the pure-bred native American people.
Wait. So you're saying they are very distinct, yet you don't know what they really are? How can you say what is and isn't a Native American feature if you don't know? From what I understand of Native American physiological features:
- Golden/brown skin
- Black Hair
- Large-wide cheekbones (some)
This should be pretty easily attainable in most CC's, with that said ME's CC was pretty sketchy when it came to cheekbones. I have faith it can be done in ME:A though.
Also I do think there have been "Native American" presets. The "stereotypical" "hispanic" preset looks Native American, since the preset is generally made to look like Central Americans, whom the majority are partly Native American. Unlike in North America where it's primarily white and black.
Ummm what?
There are no photos of Ancient Egyptians so we don't know, but they all passed their genetic info around so people do carry Ancient Egyptian DNA in their genetic code, and their features as well. I've heard a lot of speculation on what they looked like: Some say they were black, white, middle eastern, even Spaniard.
The fact is "Native Americans" count for a very small portion of the world's population. What you are asking is for Bioware to pander to one specific race, which would be fair to all other minority's.
Also Assassins Creed 3 had a Native American main character.
I said a Native American preset, not a Native American set looking character that you cannot change.
And
Most presets can be changed, and are supposed to be changed to match the race that is trying to be achieved in a video game. But there is no Native American race preset in any video games I've played as I said and I've attempted to make a Native American in some games, and may have succeeded, but it wasn't as good. Native Americans have distinct features most of the time, and those who have Distinct features can often be altered in video games to match a Race that is very alike. There just is no Native American preset to match with Inuits in video games. I think Almost all of the rest of the Races are accounted for, but I'm not sure.
Cause Native Americans are nearly extinct and probably will be fully absorbed by the other races by the time ME:A takes place, just like the Japanese and many other minority races (that are actual minorities as in; not many of them left).
^^^ Most likely untrue, as I have said, Star Trek had a Native American main Character and so did Gears of War.
