Seeing as our protagonist will have ties to Earth in one way or another there is no reason the CC shouldn't allow you to customize for a certain heritage.

Please don't argue with the idea of this thread. How have you read the first post? I already said most face presets cover many Races.

Is this your first time on the internet? People will argue about everything that it is remotely possible to argue about on the internet. And he is being perfectly reasonable, why should the Devs devote resources to this when they could devote resources to something more impactful to a large audience?

Honestly I think there shouldn't be any presets, there should be a randomized and a cc with the ability to create anything you want. Presets only limit the creativity of people.

The nice thing about presets is that it provides a simple solution for players who aren't really interested in spending time with the CC.

So does random. Then it's truely a surprise what your Shepdromeda will look like!

I honestly wouldn't care about being given a random face if it meant no time wasted in a pointless CC feature.

In fact, if I had my way every single character in the game would be quarian and so the appearance of the face would be completely irrelevant at all times anyway. At least until the 3rd game when they could just use a poorly modified getty stock image for whoever your LI happened to be. There, only 5 minutes spent on the CC over an entire 3 game series. That's resource efficiency.

Playing as a purple and pupil-less afghani with missing and deformed fingers/toes and inverted legs? No thanks.

Removing the Character Creator would ruin a classic part of the Mass Effect Trilogy from the next game.

It's probably not going to happen anyway.

You forgot earless, so yet another pointless slider to omit from the CC. You're just strengthening my argument.

Really? Because I've played all my games with the default preset and it has worked just fine.

CC is pointless, no one ever reacts whether you make your character a supermodel or a dwarf with down syndrome who has a half meter underbite.

Another reason why ME should've been a straight up shootbang TPS.

Some people have different opinions than you, you know? Some people like me don't play with the default Character.

It's called a Role playing Game for a reason.

Yep. If they hadn't spent so much time on superfluous faff that has no effect on gameplay, they might have been able to actually get the movement and gunplay mechanics to passable status before the 3rd game; or added different unique assets to further build the setting so it wouldn't look like there are species whom are 100% male and yet somehow not extinct from inability to breed. Or modeled the actual gun I'm using and gave it animations instead of having an Avenger materialize out of thin air for me to pewpew at Kai Lame.

Unfortunately, the fanbase was more interested in crap like corny "romances" and playing barbie dress up, than lackluster mechanics and the game having 1990s-esque A.I. Incidentally, these are the same people whom also think "choices" all of a sudden stopped mattering during ME3's ending.

I thought you played Mass Effect. There is a backstory about the Krogan, and why they are not extinct.

Yes, as evidenced by nonsense threads about gayliens and casual clothing.

casual clothing......in a military third person shooter.

Yes, a backstory designed to cover animator laziness. Still doesn't explain turians, drell, batarians, hanar, elcor, volus etc. ect. Even if not talking about mechanics/ gameplay improvements, I'd rather have those than a pointless feature to make my ears and nose bigger, which has literally no effect on anything.

It's a Roleplaying game, and this is straying off the topic of the thread, the Character Creator will most likely not be removed, Just because some people talk about clothing doesn't mean it effects the Game, unless BioWare decides to look and make an outfit out of their ideas, which I highly doubt.

This thread is intended as a request or reminder to BioWare, not a zone for discussion of how many Races populate each section of Earth, or why there should or shouldn't be a Character Creator.

If you don't want any discussion then you should just send a personal PM or e-mail to BioWare with your request. This forum is here for us to discuss things, not to pat each other on the back and nod in agreement.

This is probably the only time in history I will be seen agreeing with Mr. Heretic here. Look up the word Forum, cause that's what this is.

Does anyone really give a volus' cloaca if NPC's don't shriek in horror if I make Shep look like grim death or swoon if I craft a supermodel out of the CC? It's all bells and whistles in what is essentially a toy. The most one could realistically expect from removing it would be more dynamic hair anyway. Whoop-de-frakkin'-do.

Pretty sure we agreed on other things as well, though you might not have been aware of it (or forgotten about it).

Forum Threads get recognition, Emails do not. BioWare would most likely put my email in the trash bin. When someone does not pay attention to the main post in the Thread, where I posted all the repetitive Statements that I have responded to already, and repeats those same statements and starts an argument again, then it goes beyond discussion.

Do I have to type it again? This thread is a request to BioWare, Recognition and Supportive comments strengthen this thread, Arguing with the point of this thread does nothing. What, you don't want me to be able to play as a Native American character? If not, then why are you even arguing with the point of this thread?

The more recognition this thread gets the better chance that BioWare will recognize it. I'm hoping they will update their Character Creator for Mass Effect: Andromeda, but if they do not this Thread is here to back up new Race presets that cover multiple Races for each face Preset.

I'm arguing because I hope BioWare will spend their resources elsewhere. Resources spend on arbitrary CC presets are better spend elsewhere to make ME:A a better game.

@Hero As far as updating the CC for ME:A, I can assure you that it will be an improvement over the original ME trilogy.  Excluding the hair and eyebrow options (the hair is pretty bad, and most of the eyebrows look like caterpillars on LSD,) DA:I has an amazing CC.  Since they are using the same engine for ME:A as they did for DA:I, it's a safe bet that the CC is going to be beautiful.  They wouldn't have to spend any resources for it.  They've already got a good CC made for the Frostbite engine so there's no reason why they wouldn't use the same one or one at least a similar for ME:A as they did for DA:I.

Assuming that those CC dollars are interchangeable with better-mission-or-something dollars.
