I'm hoping for body morph options this time around. That way if they decide to add something like the double chin option into the game there will be a body type to go with it. Also body tattoos, if i'm playing a space outlaw then i want to look like one.

I would use this as my canon any day.

That really annoys me they got rid of all major diseases there are no fat people in the universe unless the person is a glutton and eats more than they should. But yes seeing how they haven't included races I see no reason why we can't have body sliders to an extent now I know this isn't going to be popular but it had to be said if however you are trolling you got me.

Was talking about them not adding aliens but yes human races are a must.

Yeah true I'd just like to be able too make the height and boobs smaller it's silly walking around with such a large chest those things are painful but that's just me.

Even if set to random, any face is technically a finished face.

But if they look like ass, we're not likely to take them as inspiration.

More presets is just more of the same shitty CC based faces. No better than Inquisition. Which is realistic textures, but shitty designs.

I hope they have face scanned options again. For protags and followers alike. It can't be topped.

I'd like either no presets, or one that is basically a featureless blob where I can start from scratch.

That increases the chances that I'll end up with the face I want, rather than one that shares features with a preset.

Remember Oblivion?

Agreed on being able to adjust the body some especially if we're playing human again, may as well be able to tweak the body shape. And now I'm chuckling at the last bit cause in DD I always make the breast large to add a little bit more to the weight limit I can carry when I get the body the way I like it

Reminds me of an old MMO called Shadowbane. You got more inventory space the higher your strength was. But it also beefed up the character. My Elf Warrior was a freak. He was like a foot taller than others and built like Arnold.

It makes sense, but the results were funny..

For me this is probably DAI's weakest area and it's definetely one they can improve on. Given that with MEA there working only with humans this time it should be a lot easier. I just hope the Bioware  take all the feedback we've given them on this forum and do something good with it.

I probably should add some more things to the OP other than more varied presets, lighting and hair are also really big issues but hair seems to be covered in a few threads already. Though regardless of how good the options are they'll be kind of pointless without great lighting to see if everything looks up right before the main game. I think it was this thread that someone mentioned being able to rotate the character fully and I agree that should be in along with being able to tilt and maybe zoom in and out with the camera. I'll add it to the OP.

Yep. That's the level of freedom I would like.

Remember when BioWare made 2D games and our characters were just faceless sprites? Then, our faces were represented by 2D portraits. And we could import our own (PoE also allows this), so there were literally no restrictions on our character's appearance.

That's what we lost when we moved to 3D games and cinematic presentation. All CC advancements should be trying to move us back toward that level of freedom and control.

All I remember from 2D games is that I didn't have to waste my time and just enjoyed the games quickly. I didn't think about freedom so much as "just playing".

Now I'm spending hours and hours wasting my time. Except with Mass Effect. I just used Sheploo and cared about "playing" again. I've seen some decent things done with the CC, but all I could manage were a bunch of variations of Conrad Verner and Donavan Hock. It looked like ****. Most of the heads were really square shaped and the necks too thick.

I just wish we could change the lighting in the CC, ie: if the game has 5 different lighting types and general locations, throw in an environment swap you can do while creating the character. Also throw in an animation toggle like smiling, frowning, mad, etc. and instead of mapping the head to the right stick with up/down/left/right head turns just let us rotate the head.

if the game has a well-documented ruleset, I often find that character creation is my favourite part of the game.

I think we should just be able to pull up the head editor at any time during the game. Make something like the Mirror of Transformation a menu option that's always available.

I'd be happy with the ability to change my character's appearance in game - it doesn't need to be through an in-game interface (like the mirror in the Black Emporium), a menu item would be fine. And yes, more varied hairstyles than DAI would be much appreciated.
