Can anyone tell me why Shepard has weird orange "cracks" on his face? Almost like a pattern of lines. Or is this a glitch? I'm on the xbox version

Its scars from the implants in Shepard's face. They haven't fully healed because Shepard had to be woken early. If you're a paragon through the game the scars will heal, if you're renegade they get worse. Eventually you can buy a med-bay upgrade that gets rid of the scars completely regardless of alignment.

I believe they are scars from when the normandy 1 was blown to pieces.

They are scars from the revival operation. They will get worse or better upon your actions untill you buy the med center upgrade for the ship where u can permanently remove the scars.
