Shall we discuss the roll of “support” classes? In reality,
I don’t feel like that’s a fair term. If you take a Volus and
compare the damage output to a GI, it is obvious
the result will be rather imbalanced. Unfortunately,
to the random PUG, this basically empowers them with
a ridiculous excuse to not really contribute at all, being a
“Summers Eve” about it. Lately, PUGs have seized the
day with power leeching (no shots fired). Thoughts? L2P?
Every kit is a support kit when the GI is around.
Also, can't be bothered to move 6 feet and pick up giant Shakespeare book, but here's an A7X song instead.

I agree, it's just sinful how they think that because they run around spamming shield boost that it gives them the right not to help actually kill the enemies in a platinum game.

It gets even more ridiculous on bronze. Like really? Promoted my adepts today, because cheap ol´ me didn´t want to use a respec card. Played a bronze game. The Volus headlessly ran around, spamming SB. That´s of course, when he wasn´t dead. Which he was more often than not. What makes it even more ridiculous: Harrier!

Thou I agree with all of you, a well-played Volus is fine
art in motion. “Support” players need not succumb any-
more to the idea that they don’t have to deal damage. As
lovely as it is to sit on your arse and collect a check,
and believe me, I feel that lazy and tempted sometimes,
more often than not, it’s a waste of lobby space. It’s not a
temperate sunbathing spot for you to tan your shield booster.

Sometime ago, I played “support” classes,
too. I always scored well because of sweet,
hot Incendiary Ammo and, so ever elusive,
the trigger button. Damage ain’t in the
eye of the beholder, it’s surprisingly in the eye
of the shooter, people. *gasp* who knew??
Heaven knows why PUGs play like they’re on moon-
shines and other beverageses. “Support”… pfft.
Didn't realize we have a bunch of fancy lads around here...

I basically am a leech on Silver right now on the PS3. I don't even have 1 single piece of gear after playing like 10 games. I don't like that feeling of I can't contribute more than I am..when I know I am capable of causing way more damage.
And what burns me up the most, and it happens
often, is when people play any kind of Enginner like it
is a “support” class. Yesterday, a PUG actually said, in
his 1337est voice possible, “I’m here to strip shields. It’s
Gold, and I don’t have the damage for anything more
complex, like killing. Hurr durr.” Grr… if I could, I would
shun him from all of society, for his scarce wits were
dimmed to the brightness of a black hole. He was a GE!
And it is today that we lay to rest this game, beloved by
every gamer of commendable acuity. Volus “support” may be
fair to claim for some, but today I found something atrocious
from the depths of Hades’ Xbox, a support GI. it is perhaps
fair to debate PM as a power which helps the entire “team”
sometime or another, but to not spec TC??? This travesty
declines any semblance of sensibility. PUGs… smmfh
