OK, I looked at the topic with the main glitches being addressed and I'm glad Bioware is working on them.
I saw nothing about this one though. Periodically through my game I'll get the message, "A sign in change has occurred. Please exit your profile to continue" I hit a and I am booted to the main screen. This happens to me on menus and during gameplay.
I assumed it was because my DSL connection is not 100% reliable and Xbox live frequently disconnects me. So instead I tried turning off all the auto connect options in the menu and unplugged my ethernet cable from my router. Now when I play I get this message as soon as I try to import my ME 1 character. It lets me select him and starts the prologue, then I get booted.
I tried turning my system off and starting again, still not working.
Can anyone explain what this error is and how to fix it please?

Apparently this is also connected to people that cannot save...

I got a sign in change error occurring when I tried to being in my ME1 save. The gamertag and save file were all on the same HDD since I haven't changed either the tag or the system since I finished ME1. I was offline from Live due to network config issues, but there's no reason for the sign in change error as far as I can see. Same thing happened, it reset me to the entry screen.

I have the same issue and from what I've heard is that you need to be online with your gamertag for your import character to work. I have yet to verify this as I also have no internet for my Xbox (I'm in a hotel)

The weird thing is I got this error yesterday (before the update) but restarted and everything played fine. I played for like 5 hours last night on two different Shepards that both used the same original save.

Also have similar problem... picked up a CE ME2 about 4-5 months back. Fixed everything that was included in the CE, downloads etc. Game worked 100%, tho i only played a few hours, then i havent had the time to play, so i picked it up earlier today to start again, and now i cant even get to the Main Menu. Because the game says that " A sign in change as occured" and only thing i can do is to restart the game and get the same message. oh and the game shuts down my xbox live once it starts, and once i quit the game i get logged in again...... feels really good to spend money on a game that i cant play.

I had the same problem. I checked my ether-net cable and noticed that the clip on the end broke off. Switched to a different ether-net cable, and now everything works fine.
But from the other complaints, that doesn't seem to be the issue...

This has happened to me too yesterday. I bought this game on release and it's played fine but for some reason it started doing this at the main menu. I can sign out and sign in at that spot without restarting by using the xbox button on the controller but it's completely impossible to import.
I can start a new character but that sign in change message makes no sense as I only have one profile.
The only thing that's happened that I think might cause this is my Internet connection went and I'm waiting for the cable co to come out and fix it but I don't know if that's the problem

I also tried creating a new profile and that fixes it if I run the game from the new one but my normal profile is completely shut down from importing.

It seems re establishing my online connection fixed the problem.
The game gets kooky when my profile isn't logged into xbox live

I don't recall seeing a solution being posted here on the tech boards. The previous poster had a suggestion that worked for them. I think there's another thread about this floating about somewhere.
But when all else fails I would suggest either EA support, or even Microsoft itself.
