Hey Bioware,

so I just bought the ''Spoils Of the Qunari DLC'', I like the new armors and I especially like that the light armor does away with the female noodle arms for once, a great change, thumbs up.

However, there seems to be a problem with the skin color of the armor and the actual skin color of the character (Qunari), they differ quite a lot and I cannot change my characters skin to a color (through the emporium) that matches the ''armor.''

Its especially bad in dark areas and not as bad in brightly lit areas.

The problem does not exist with the heavy armor.

Exhibit A:

I'd appreciate a fix.

Maybe it's intentional, denoting tan lines and previously being totally covered at all times. ;-)

I made her walk around in the Forbidden Oasis for several hours, still no change.  ;)

I really like that Bioware didn't go with super skinny again, like they always do, that ''armor'' makes female characters look like they actually spend at least some time swinging medieval weapons against peoples heads.

I like that armor so I'd appreciate a fix so I can actually use it.

I love the qunari body type for both male and female and it looks like a big warrior but I would have liked an option to pick from a few body shapes to better fit my class..Qunari male rogue or mage just looks strange with a hulking body.

I haven't tried yet, are the armors bugged on the other races too?

Yes.  I put the heavy armour on Veric and he has no chest hair and his body is pale compared to his head.  It is not just the Qunari that has the issue.

It looks ok on Sera, Cassandra and Solas.  Have not tried them on another PC character yet.  Started a new game to try out Qunari now I have some decent armour.

Sometimes I wonder how a DLC with such fundamental glaring bugs can go for sale. Do they even test the stuff the create?

I know this is the other armour piece, but the skin tone isn't right here either. major tan/tan lines? at least it's a little less noticeable on my human, you can see the neck seam-line showing the colour difference, she had paler skin to start with. I wonder if it's because the armour can't actually use the character's skin tone for the revealing areas? if so, that kinda sucks.

Couldn't they have simply made an armor for each skin tone? That would only be 5 or so and should be very easy to do.

I mean, we have nanobots, have visited Pluto and are on the verge of curing cancer. But we can't have armor in video games that have their revealing parts match the protagonists skin tone?

Heh, well, we did want them to take a bit more from Bethseda way back in the DA2 days, didn't we?

(Bethseda games are known, in paticular if you use mods, for the huge neck seams so much that 'neck seam concealers' (otherwise known as necklaces) are often downloaded and distributed to all NPCs with numerous mods doing that.)

Having been snarky, yeah, this is a problem (as is the tinting).  I was hoping for more from this armor pack, as I really wanted some Qunari stuff.  Boo.

Ah the good old Bethesda neckseam. Unfornately its gone in Skyrim :( i miss it.

On topic - the armor looks cool, but its lazy work. If you can't account for skin tones or neckseam while doing it, don't do it. Or atleast finish it. Hopefully they will fix this because it is unacceptable for them to release it in such a poor state.

I don't think it's bug. They just put character head on body with armour paint.

The developers totally got lazy with these armors as well as the Avvar armors which is probably why they did the ugly two toned mud crap so they didn't have to worry about skin tones and think we wouldn't notice. It's more apparent in the fact that your party member's body types become the same as the inquisitor's when they equip the dlc armors... no chest hair for Varric, Iron Bull loses his muscle mass, etc. I kinda wish I got this on the PC so I had access to mods.

They made so many promises and all of them lies...

Hm...it's not a skin COLOR bug. The skin color is working as it's intended.

It's your complexion. The complexion is making the face seem more detailed with more various tones and hues and shades then the simple one color of the skin.

It's working exactly as it's intended. Because the armor has no complexion tint.

1.) The problem mainly exists with the Qunari Skin tones.

2.) Switching to other and simpler compelxiations does not make the problem go away. The skin tones are way, way off and that has nothing to do with the skin complexiations.

3.) A DLC that gives people -who have a Qunari inquisitor- an armor that they cannot use because it makes their character look completely broken is borderline fraud.

Yeah, you'd have thought for as much as people wanted Qunari specific armor, they'd have put more effort into making sure skin tones matched and that there were no visible neck seams. I still have trouble looking at the pictures people have posted with Iron Bull in the heavy armor.

And then there are the armor tint bugs that, of course, only happen with qunari characters. Bioware should be ashamed of themselves for the half-assed job on this dlc.

DLC-artist: "So uhm... what were the skintones again for the Qunari?"

Main-game-artist: "Errr.... Mud...? ...Dirt? ...Bleach?"

20 minutes later...

QA-tester: "This doesn't look good..."

Publisher: "... If you squint you won't see it!" *releases content*

Brb, hoarding my money in my pocket and NOT spending it on Inquisition DLC.

Has there been any word if they are going to fix this?

I don't understand how they could have released this for qunari when the tinting and skin tone is broken.

None of those things are true.
