 Hey all,

I have to admit that I'm not really a gamer. I've play WOW, but that's about it.

I can handle controlling my own character, but having to control 4 is new to me.

I'm just going to guess how others play this game, and you can tell me if I'm wrong.

I assume that when exploring and finding enemies, you probably pause and then move your players to strategic positions, and then plan 3-4 steps ahead, and then unpause?  Is that the strategy for this game?

Also, if you equip weapons or armor that have attributes, how do you see that when it comes to combat?

Everything is so fast?  Is there something other than watching hit points and health go down?

Thanks from a rookie.

You can simply bash mobs with your stick instead, no need for pause - if you ever done some raiding in WoW, then you'll discover there's no such thing as strategy in DAI. Attributes work exactly like in WoW, you have no influence over your stats outside of equipment manipulation, once you pick the class that is. classes are painfully balanced, there's classic trinity division (tank, heal - which is more like disc priest than healer, dps). character progression is static - you have very little control, you have skill trees filled with passives (like pre-MoP).

Zones are more or less similar to the ones from WoW - they are level locked, quests are marked, there's no enemy scalling, you have something similar to reputation grind, loot is RNG... and there are gathering professions.

Yup, basically casual-friendly WoW with less cool NPCs.

Hello :)

I play on easy and just let my companions fight as they like. I always take a mage, warrior and rogue with me and make sure to gear them all well. But thats as much effort as I put into strategy.

Goodluck! (I hope you enjoy this game as much as I do :))
