Why is it cheaper to buy a single ME game than to buy the Omega DLC?

I always miss the sales on 360, but seriously... $15 for a DLC? There's gotta be a cheaper way

I was at a game store earlier today and saw both ME2 and ME3 for $4.99 each.

Sorry that you feel that way. It's worth more than that.

Mass Effect Trilogy is £11, Omega DLC is £10. This is what happens when a company has a monopoly on a product, hence why Steam, GOG and third-party retailers are so important, publishers can not be trusted to not abuse digital distribution.

The game at that price is a STEAL.  The DLC is amazing.

Because the DLC market is a captive audience that largely doesn't understand sunk costs.

If the DLC is worth $15 to you, buy it.
