Btw, did anyone else have a LOT of trouble with the sub-boss about midway through the mission on Korilas? I mean, I beat the guy, but I actually had to turn the difficulty down to Normal to do it. He just kept summoning more henchmen till he died which would always kill me, and my companions kept dying from his AoE attack when I took him down to half health.

 

Was there some secret to taking him down that I just missed, or do I just suck? Or is it both?

You totally suck, Man. That Boss is the most pathetic in the Game, it's simply got high Numbers. Just run the **** away, command your Squad if necessary, when goes AoE and the use your own AoE when he summons the Adds to burst them down as quickly as possible. Boom. Done.

Just when I was about to shoot him, he teleports out of the facility! I was totally not expecting that! And my squadmates are like "oh man, we where so close" The face of the Volus squadmate (can't remember his name, vitne.. something) is priceless!

Now I'm not so sure if I'm about to finish the game or not, damn you BW I was this close...

So has anyone managed to complete multiple playthroughs yet? I really want to know how all the romances turn out. I'm doing the female turian/quarian hybrid lady, and I gotta say that I thought she'd be more intriguing. Hopefully she'll get better as the game draws to a close. And can anyone confirm if you can even ENTER deck 6 on the main ship after the prologue? After every major milestone in the main story, I check to see if I can get in there. I'm guessing the devs saved it for DLC. Thoughts?

 

 

I managed to complete the game with 10 of the 12 classes. I wanted to try them all out.

I couldn't get into Soul Kin and Heretic since they rely on beat em up style combos. It's really out of place in an RPG but what can you do?

 

That Turian/Quarian hybrid lady is only available if you picked the Synthesis ending for Mass Effect 3. She is a Kathanus. They are a mutated race that came about when Commander Shepard merged machines and organics. The Kathanus are one of many new races that only exist if you import that ending. Since most people chose destroy they are missing out on one of the most exciting romances that game has to offer.

 

The Kathanus lady you're dating is called Lauria Zule. She is very shy because everyone views her as an abomination, hence why you probably find her a bit dull. But do some of her side missions and she'll open up to you. I was thinking the same way as you, but once she opens up, oh boy does she have some interesting insight into her past. Because of the Synthesis ending, there was a zombie acopolypse where everyone turned into Reaper husks. However a few managed to fight Reaper Indoctrination and retain their individuality. Lauria Zule was one of the few who beat the indoctrination, making her easily one of the strongest characters in the Mass Effect Universe.

 

There is an epic mission where you return to the Milky Way to find a way to rescue a group of Kathanus from Reaper Indoctrination. During that mission you end up fighting minions of both Reapers and Leviathan. You also find out a lot about Lauria. She opens up to you and oh boy does she have the best romance. It's a very long mission. If you choose the right dialogue options, you start having "realistic" romantic banter. If you rescue her friends, she has an awesome romantic scene. Naturally due to psychological differences intercourse is off the table. It's still pretty awesome though.

 

 

Deck 6 hasn't been saved for DLC. You have to find one of the lower deck engineers to fix the faulty lock mechanism. You can access it at any time after prologue as long as you talk to the lower deck engineers. Lower deck however is really tricky to find.

It's like ME 2/3 shockwave only it is four times as long and each of the exploding pulses has twice the radius.

Also the shockwave's exploding pulses look more explosive.

Still can't believe no one has mentioned that hidden gun you can find in the ships kitchen area, it fires skittles out of it so now you can hurt your enemies with all the colours of the rainbow. It's very hard to miss as you have to be stood at the correct angle.

Pretty cool weapon. However Red Faction's joke weapon is much better  !

Hi all, bit stuck so could do with some help. I'm on the 3rd main story mission (the one after 'the twist') and I've only got so far:

• 15/30 Ancient Tech pieces
• 22/40 Red Spindle samples
• 1/50 (!!!) Mineral samples
• 32/45 Remnant remnants
• 13/22 gun blueprints

Obviously I need these to unlock the next story cutscene, but I've been all over the 5 planetscapes in this section and just can't find them all. Any pointers?

It's more of a cheat.

 

You know the cute engineer who beats you up at the start of the game?

If you bring her along then your radar and map are overloaded with lots of point markers.

 

Oh if you want to beat the engineer in an unarmed confrontation you have to pick the Soul Kin class otherwise she will own you.

I had to restart the game after I had done 3/4 of the game because I got  manced by her. I did not had a backup save and I had no idea that I had apparently locked the romance until several hours later (how/when did I locked it?). I really wanted to romance the krogan warlord.

Wow, I didn't know that could happen. O_o Still kinda glad I didn't send her, she annoys me sometimes, but it still would feel right to let that happen to her...

I sent Drack on that mission. I knew it was going to be dangerous, so I thought I'd send my strongest squaddie. I really thought he was going to die, but it basically turned out like it did when grunt goes after the rachni in ME3. It was pretty awesome watching Drack drag himself out of that pile of bodies, bleeding, but alive.

People on the forums have asked me about Commander Shepard.

So here is my Q&A.

 

1. Is Commander Shepard in Andromeda?
   Yes and no. He/she is only around if you imported the Destroy ending.
    
2. Can Commander Shepard join your squad?
   Not really. Commander Shepard is about 80 something years old. Shepard can't even walk. There is a 5 minute cameo where Shepard says inconsequential stuff. Nothing illuminating.
    
3. Does Shepard look like the Commander Shepard I created?
   Shepard's face is completely burnt, covered in scars and wrinkles and well looks like this...

4. If you picked Destroy, have do the Mass Relays get fixed?
   They do. Teams of engineers work on it. Roughly 60% of the Mass Relays are repaired.
    
5. Do any of Shepards other squad mates make it into ME A?
   Liara T'Soni is still around. Aside from her, no other squad mates make it.

You're forgetting to mention the codex entry. You know, the one that mentions Shepard's LI, Renegade/Paragon personality, service history and what he/she has been up to post-Reaper War.

 

I know mine mentioned(for my canon Shepard) that Shepard was known for his ruthlessness(he was VERY Renegade), that he headed the N7 program after his war wounds removed him from combat duty, that his wife Miranda Lawson became the head of an privately-held science division that advances human interests, and that Shepard retired from the Alliance military with the rank of Rear-Admiral. Not sure if the codex entry varies beyond just the the Paragon/Renegade bit and Shepard's LI. I'd love to see if it did.

 

Speaking of codex entries, I am curious what Liara's codex entry says if she is romanced by Shepard. Also, has anyone seen the codex entries for other members of Shepard's squad? Closest I got was the "Omega-4 Relay" codex entry after I met Shepard where it lists the members of his team, and the fact that he got them all out alive. Anyone else have an altered variation of that if your Shepard lost some of his squad?

I'm not quiet sure if anything else change, there was some time ago since I last read the entry so i can't quiet remember what it said... but I do remember there was a special part about what me and Garrus (my LI in the previous Mass Effect games) got up to after the war. Something about adopting krogan babies...
