Hmmmm, just heard about this new fantasy RPG project:

http://www.mooncrestrpg.com/news/

- Story and characters inspired by the likes of KotOR and Jade Empire

- Real time combat, inspired by Dark Souls

- Adventure style puzzle elements

- A bunch of Ex-BioWare veterans on the team

Sounds like this might have potential.

Yup, looks interesting indeed.  Will have to see more as time goes on.

Yea, guess it's a bit early to say anything about it. I do like the puzzle thing though. It would be great if they would actually include puzzles with items like in adventure games. Always thought it was odd that no one seems to use the inventory that's so ubiquitous in RPGs anyway for anything but weapons and armor anymore.

A set protagonist is always a bit of a downer for me in an RPG, but it looks interesting.

My thoughts as well.

The action based combat seems to have an interesting twist with the Stamina mechanic. And the variable passive bonuses you can choose could be an interesting way to change the gameplay.

Still, a lot of the info on the site seems fluff with no substance. And their "Development Our Way" page really boils down to "we're indie and that's why we're awesome." Corporate development has problems, but poor management of development can manifest itself in any size company. Being smaller can make you more agile, but it can also make you woefully unstructured or underpowered.

Anyway... could be interesting, but there needs to be more meat before I'll consider taking a bite.

It's another game to keep an eye out for, for me.

Okay. You've got my attention. :)

At least on paper, sounds like they've got a good formula set up and some experienced people behind the team. It's officially on my radar.

Can't say the premise or proposed features are really wowing me at the moment, not going to write the game off as of yet but nothing about it really grabs my interest either.

Also I gotta wonder why it isn't a co-op game, well I am sure there are plenty of reasons for why it isn't but the original concept seems like it was meant as a co-op campaign for 2 players, having two controllable characters with different playstyles that compliment each other would probably make the idea more interesting and would probably be a worthwhile pursuit if they could find room in the budget, but then I have no idea what constraints these people are working under.

I hope they have success with this but so far it doesn't look like a game that would interest me. Perhaps once they have more to show I might be more inclined to pay closer attention.

If it is PC only, then no.

Game has too little concrete information to really get excited for at all. Maybe once they're further along then I'll take a closer look.

Got my attention when it said "Kotor"

Need to keep an eye out for this one... Still, it does look a bit far away.
