In order for MoD to do 390k damage, you first need to do 390k. The dragon has around 500k, so if you carefully watch the health bar you will notice that our Leaping Shot spam doesn't even come close to that. It has to be two MoDs, one was just hidden under the damage numbers of Leaping Shot.
It was a crit, so you only (lol only) needed to do about ~280k damage, give or take
(Actually probably a bit less, dependent on crit damage bonus). However, it was at the precise moment of the 390k tick that the rest of the dragon's health was removed. Mathematically you're right, the only way the 390k crit checks out is if a single other MoD was used at practically the same instant (otherwise the dragon's health would have been removed by another quarter chunk first, although three quarters of its health was removed at once). That was impeccable timing, and good luck to get the crit on MoD (highlighted by the first MoD not critting). Not because it wouldn't have killed the dragon (it would have
), but because otherwise the ~250k damage tick would probably be hidden under all the Leaping Shot crits like the first MoD
Thank you. I'm fairly certain I don't have a high enough crit chance to pull it off.
The solution shouldn't be to penalize people with mid and low promotes, but that's what'll happen because of this video. Balancing around the top 1%. *sigh*
We may not have high enough cunning to get the crit on MoD very often, but I've got a grand total of 2 cunning and I'm fairly confident that between passives, equipment (crit rings and such) and grips that enhance crit rate, this would still be possible with a group of similarly under-promoted (or flat out not promoted) players. In fact, it would be more of a challenge to get to the dragon than to actually pull it off.
So give something on hunter
and alchemist
It's not even funny to compare those two bow users, it's like superman vs captain useless.
Archer got longshot, hunter not.
Archer got MoD, sneaky hunter, assassin with bow, for some reason not.
Archer got stamina on crit passive and stamina on death passive, hunter has regeneration stamina passive, and stamina when kicked ass passive.
Archer got flanking passives, sneaky hunter nope
Archer got knockout bomb, hunter powder where definitely knockout bomb works better with stealth.
Archer got OP passive which gives him zero cooldown on everything all the time, hunter got...nothing for this, even I was never here isn't here.
I'm not the fun of nerfs, in general it's bad idea to nerf something in pve co-op game. But in current state archer is like "how to build bow user with best possible synergy" and hunter is like "I wonder if random set passives and abilities would work".
The only great thing about hunter is his hat and the fact you play underdog.
Whilst I completely agree that the Hunter is the inferior Archer when it comes to using a bow, the Hunter does have some unique merit with Stealth and Spike Trap. Also, for players who don't promote often like myself, the guaranteed crit from Stealth is invaluable, making Throwing Blades incredibly deadly, and generally better than Long Shot. However, otherwise I agree, it's especially annoying to see the Archer get Knockout Bomb whilst the Hunter is stuck with Knockout Powder. Regarding his capability with a bow, I think he'd be a lot more effective if he had either +50 staminia on kill, or +10 stamina on crit, in addition to I Was Never Here
Also, "stamina when kicked ass passive" hahaha
It's so true
