Hey everyone. Brand new here as of 5 minutes ago. I know this post is slightly dated but I just wanted to point one thing out. They definitely do have this awesome track in mind. Something I never caught before: rewatch the trailer and skip to the end. Theres a very, very brief reference, almost like a quick humming tone that's barely a second long It's certainly from the track Vigil

MEA should have it's own theme.  It should of course incorporate elements that definitely make it Mass Effect but it also needs to distinguish itself from the original trilogy.

At the end of the announce trailer, we heard vigil, but it was "remixed." That could be the new theme. But I would prefer for it to have it's own theme.

They need to bring back their 'inspired decision' to use 'this is the new shi*' by Marilyn Manson they used for Dragon Age, which fit so perfectly.....

Yeah. God, that would be the worst theme song. I can tolerate it in the trailer but for the sake of everything that's holy, BW, do not use it as theme song.

 

When it comes to Vigil, I would like to hear it MEA but perhaps not as a theme song, though. To me it is not a reminder of Shepard, nor do I consider it as his/hers theme. To me Vigil is like the heart of ME universe, reminds me of the different worlds, places, good things... it is ME. Adding it to MEA doesn't tie the new game into old trilogy; only makes it a part of the whole ME universe.

I forgot which developer tweeted it, but they said they have got the rights to use that song (Ghost Riders In The Sky), but they aren't quite sure how, when, and where in the game they will use it.

Yeah, that was okay but I do hope that the theme song is something different, though.
