So this is one problem ive been having recently.
I will be playing the game just fine, no stuttering or FPS lag, and then BAM the graphics freeze, but the game keeps going. It will take a while then catch up. Sometimes it fixes itself fine and I can play for another 3 or so hours before having another problem. Sometimes it will fix itself but there will be some crazy bad screen tears with the textures.
I have tried messing with the drivers, going to the last stable ones I had, and then up to the most recent and nothing works.
Specs are:
Windows 7 64bit
4gb of Ram
1.8 Dual Core
Nvidia 8600M GS with 195.x drivers right now
Problem ive been having, Have seen no fix!

Same problem, mine fixes usually in a few seconds, it's not game breaking but it's a little annoying. I have very different specs then you.

Any chance of your card getting too hot? Does this happen after long periods of play or at anytime? Can you reproduce it by going back into an area or does it not seem to matter?

Mine will take anywhere form 30secs to a full minute to fix itself, but like you say its not game breaking for me
It can happen at anytime, yesterday had it happen right after I loaded onto the Normandy from my save. And its not area specific, it will happen anywhere at anytime.
