He declared he'd leave nothing for Blood Mages to rule; so...I'd argue he's legitimately there for what he claims.

What pretty much was threat toward entire kirkwall not only blood mages.

And again if he legitimately wanted purge city from blood mages he would either attack krikwall in every scenario anders alive or not or he would just send support for kirkwall forces to deal with them instead attacking kirkwall.

Well...considering what a pisshole Kirkwall is...would it even be missed? I mean hundreds of blood mages, abominations and demons infested it for near on a decade... You could argue the world would be legitimately better off without it.

Well then we are talking about mages not kirkwall and pretty much it isn't reason again why sebastian attacks kirkwall ,after all either way templars restore order in kirkwall sided with mages or not, plus as i said there is only 1 factor that makes sebastian attack kirkwall and it is anders alive and it doesn't have anything to do with blood mages in kirkwall.

That's your assertion and one that deliberately ignores the in game evidence otherwise.

Why hate the guy who helped Kirkwall? He even ask help to the Inquisition to continue his effort.
Sebastian is a good person, a true friend to Viscount Hawke.

And that madman doesnt deserve to live anyway.

And thus he needs to be found in whatever compound next door to whatever military academy he's hiding within and killed.

Hence why you'd go after known associates.

What could be achived by simple working with kikrwall ,and again his threats weren't directed on his associates or blood mages only entire kirkwall.

Not to mention Anders was long gone by that time...

I doubt Aveline would surrender herself without a fight.

So is sebastian and varric (or should i say were) and yet i don't see him invading inquisition.

Doubtful aveline was reason why he invaded kirkwall same as blood mages or anders it was pretty much misplaced revenge.

Just kill Anders. There is literally no downside to it.

The man responsible is dead.

Starkhaven and Kirkwall become close allies.

Removes the chance of Anders doing something stupid in the future if he is dissatisfied with how the mage rebellion ends.

Even his threat that he will be a martyr come to nothing since, unless the Inquisition saves them, the mage rebellion is always crushed.

Exactly! My first time, I thought, "Bleh, I'm supposed to kill my lover for doing this because it would be tragic and because I keep trying to please all these morons."

The second time, I watched it blow up with no regrets whatsoever.

I usually rival him but I like the friendship path more since it's more constitent with my personality. I was like "hmm kill my favorite character and lose a healer or keep a character I used twice...." choice was easy

He was not a associate who helped him flee Kirkwall, and while Varric might have helped Anders escape too, he is under the protection of the Inquisition, Sebastian is not a idiot to attack the Inquisition.

Neither did Aveline in first place you could have spare but still kick out anders out of your party and aveline could have left hawke if you sided with mages and wasn't friend/rival enough.

Also inquistion wasn't major power it pretty much started as scraps going to postion of big power.

Not to mention pretty much both didn't part with anders in great terms regardless of your actions.

It only happens after Sebastian leave, for him all of them might have helped Anders.
