So I know everyone has a list of things in DAMP that they want to see added, changed, improved, etc. Below is sort of comprehensive list based on my own wants and some of the more common ones I've seen on the forums. My intent is to see if there is a clear consensus between the player base on what order of priority we would all like to have the below implemented since BioWare mostly likely can't get all of this done in 1 patch or DLC. lol (or even 3 or 4 haha  ) Maybe this could help them identify where to focus their time/resources. Also, if I missed something feel free to list or message me and I can edit the post, and if I listed something you don't care about or don't want changed it's fine to mention that too.

Characters

  • Add new characters
  • Update/Improve skills, passives and tree progression
  • XP carryover from level 20 promotions so no wasted XP
  • Ability to bank XP from playing a level 20 but at a reduced rate say 25% to 50%
  • Detailed stat info like in SP available to review for each character
  • Limit to “Over Here” spamming, say like 2-3 times per wave or game or like available only once every 5 min

Enemies

  • New Faction/s (Darkspawn please)
  • More Dragons
  • More challenging Dragon fights
  • New enemy types for existing factions
  • More random generation of enemies, so not always the same types on specific waves
  • New treasure room enemies and more random, not always zombies in wave 1
  • Heartbreaker Dragon gets new mechanics in-line with concept of difficulty (was told no real difference between NM and HB Dragon fight)

Fixes

  • Skills (i.e upgrade to throwing blades)
  • Procs (i.e. Staff of Dynamo)
  • Tooltips
  • Ability rings (several)
  • Glitches/Exploits (several)
  • Server Disconnects
  • Narnia (when game graphics rendering fail and you can’t see maps or enemies, etc.)
  • Banners/Challenges (i.e. broken Dragon challenge and new char banners)

Gameplay/Quality of Life

  • More inventory (I know it’s coming soon, but originally was going to be 100 and then dropped to 50 slots. If more characters added new armors will eat that up)
  • Salvage armor, would solve inventory issues
  • Add more challenges and banners (would like to see one for completing 250 with every character, maybe one for reaching 1mil gold in all 3 maps, completionist banner for all challenges being completed, etc.
  • New leaderboard tracking: maybe timed runs, gold collected, just promotions or promotions per character, etc.
  • Player load-out visible in lobby like in ME3
  • If a player gets D’cd then lobby automatically turns to private so player can be re-invited and no loss of XP
  • XP gained is saved after each wave
  • In public games 5 or 10 min of being AFK the game auto kicks that player (unless other players vote to keep them maybe)
  • Frame Rate Improvements

Loot

  • New and more diverse weapons (So Hakkon not only end game choices or more Hakkon options)
  • Add rings for new character abilities and rings for existing skills that do not have them (i.e. Stonefist)
  • More accessories or a new tier at least for some items
  • New tier of armor upgrades and runes (maybe a 40 or 50 dmg rune)
  • Tier 4 schematics with maybe up to 3 material slots
  • Weapon and Armor crafting like in single player
  • Better loot from treasure rooms/more scaled based on game difficulty with less or no grey or blues in NM for sure, but even Perilous
  • Ability to farm for Hakkon weapons to get higher base dmg without having to salvage existing weapon
  • Tick system to track Dragon runs and improve Hakkon drop rate slightly after every X amount of runs, with a cap of the original 15%
  • Occasional Nug-Splosion from a treasure room with like 5-10 Nugs that pop out
  • Smart loot system like in ME3 where say I get a weapon for first time, it starts at lowest base dmg roll. Then each time I get that weapon it bumps base dmg up by 1 until at max level and then I never see that drop for me again. Also never get the lower version of an item when I have the higher already. Also item drops match Prestige Rank or item score used in loot table, and if at max drop rate you never get items below like level 19-21.

Maps

  • New Maps (Deep Roads would be nice)
  • Another map besides FC to farm Dragons
  • More gold either from pots, more pots, or more in treasure rooms
  • Faster recognition of wave complete and lock drop
  • Healing fonts also give 10 sec movement speed boost of 30%
  • Mini Map shows class specific icon for treasure rooms
  • No guaranteed free treasure rooms, all are random chance at getting enemies, even the small ones
  • First player to get to flag on wave 5 can pull all players to flag

Matchmaking

  • Filter by Prestige or Promotions
  • Able to select Enemy Faction
  • Easier to match with other regions
  • Ask to create lobby instead of just creating it if no quick game
  • Maybe block players from joining FC maps in wave 4 or 5 unless invited
  • Option to match based on group wanting doors or not

While you can select your priority based on the individual bullet points I am listing mine based on the headings first.

1. Matchmaking

2. Enemies

3. Maps

4. Characters

5. Fixes

6. Loot

7. Gameplay/QoL

My top individual points are:

1. Select Enemy Faction

2. New Enemy

3. New Map

4. New Characters

5. Anything that fixes or adds to skills and rings

6. Not having to salvage my Hakkon weapons to get higher base dmg versions

7. Salvage unwanted armors

What about a new game mode?

I propose: Arena mode.

An endless mode with endless waves where you face a small group (8-12) of enemies in a small closed arena (see: Trials of Hakkon). The level-range for the enemies would get progressively higher and the composition progressively harder as you complete waves.

As this is endless, you could start with something simple, such as 10 wraiths on wave #1, but by wave #50, you could be facing something truly nightmarish, such as 10 demon commanders, 10 giants, or 10 venatori commanders.

For every 5 waves you complete, you would get access to a font and a free chest.

The mode would be accessible to all players but would also provide an endless and truly endgame challenge for overpromoted veterans.

Consistency.

And clear communications from the Dev's.

Consistency in that if some exploits are acceptable, then all are acceptable. Likewise, if some are not acceptable, then none are.

And then clear communications from the dev's as to their intent. Not the mess that was the - it's OK, it's not OK, it's probably not OK, it's maybe OK while it lasts series of posts we received last week concerning the XP glitch.

If that base is established, followed and enforced, then all the great points Kissraven made would be wonderful.

Else, be like a silk hat on a pig.

I have a small list of things that I'd like to see:

  • At least two new maps
    • A Swamp similar to the one where you meet Skywatcher
    • Either one within the confines of Redcliff, Orlais or Kirkwall. Maybe even a run at Starkhaven to punch Sebastian in the face.
      • I agree on needing another Dragon Map
  • Three Kinds of Enemies
    • Darkspawn (Think they're already working on that one)
    • Undead as their own unique faction
    • Bandits and the Carta in conjunction with beasts of varying sizes
      • I agree on needing new enemies in the existing factions
  • New Accessories
    • The Player Generated Ones
    • Ones to fill in the holes for skills/spells we don't have yet (I agree on that one)
  • Smart loot would be nice if done correctly
  • Crafting for weapons and armor parts (we can't do that yet and its odd that we can craft weapon parts but not armor parts)
  • New Characters would be a bonus (I'd love to see some new Qunari, a Mabari obviously and a new Dwarf possibly Sandal......)
  • Classic weapons, armor and accessories making a comeback.
    • Wade's Beautiful Creations
      • Vigilance (In one and two handed form; the one handed form could be carried by casters or dagger rogues)
      • Heartwood Bow (So we don't leave out the Archer and Hunter; it comes with Strafing Shot built in so could upgrade the speed of Strafing Shot with it)
      • Heartwood Shield
      • Dragon Armor (It comes in Light, Medium, Heavy and Extra Heavy so it wouldn't be hard to give each type a different suit)
      • Golemshell Armor (Would be exclusive to Heavy Armor)
    • A small sampling of my favorite items from DA:O and DA 2:
      • Shadow Belt (Reduces threat by ~20% )
      • Starfang in its one-handed form
      • Asturian's Might (Weakens Darkspawn so it would go well with them as a faction)
      • Maric's Blade
      • Duncan's Sword, Shield and Dagger
      • Blightblood (Unique Sword from Darkspawn Chronicles)
      • Battledress of the Provocateur (Could be for the Assassin, she could even get some hair......)
      • Ash, Icicle, Silver Cog, Earthbound and Soulbound (Rings that increase Elemental or Spirit Resistance and Damage)
      • Nature's Blessing (Necklace that grants Stamina, Mana and Health Regeneration)
      • Pearl of the Annointed (Attribute Increase and an increase in the amount of money acquired)
      • Girdle of Kal'Hirol (Belt that increases Fire, Frost and Melee Resistance and Armor or Defense)
      • Sash of Power (50% Resistance to Fire, Frost, Electricity and Nature Damage, +10% to Melee Defense)
      • New Poisons from DA 2
        • Arcane Poison and Crow Venom
      • Fadeshear ( One Handed Sword; Damage increases based on the character's level and does increased damage to Demons and Undead)
      • Ser Isaac's Armor and the Blood Dragon Armor (Isaac's was medium, Blood Dragon was heavy) They could also add N7 Armor to fill the Light Armor slot
      • The various weapons and accessories from the Class Packages from Dragon Age 2

Some great ideas to add to the list, and I also thought some type of survivor mode would be cool so I like Wavebends idea. I kind of wanted this post to have a survey or ranking element to it though in order to see if there was a clear hierarchy of changes that the player base wanted. Anyway, thanks to all replies so far and this just goes to show that the future of DAMP has a lot of potential.  :)

Well now you know this mode IS NOT coming because you can't disclose beta info, so if this is on the wish list it's not happening and that sucks :(

It's definitely not happening afaik. However I remember early on that Luke was interested in building something similar (horde mode). *Crossing fingers*

add 900 more 'Stability' and then I'll talk about anything else.  Another back to back disconnects one on the last wave and another on wave 4 of games last night before I turned off the XBox in disgust.

My wants:

1. A tribunal like in league of legends for players that have multiple complaints filed against them. Let the community decide their fate! Start banning the cheaters ASAP. The list of players I have been grouping with on xbox1 has shrunk considerably because bioware has not done anything yet and my core group of players have quit because of it.

2. Stability. I do not want to be dashboarded ever again. This is the only game I play where this happens on a daily basis.

Cotton in all it's glorious forms...I want to pull it from the carcasses of nugs, find it in pots.  I want to find it in exploding mushrooms, rip it from the bodies of arcane warriors...

Failing any of these, how about crafting material chests again...with some freakin' cotton in them!!!!!

Not that I feel strongly about this...nope, not. at. all.

General MP:

Masterwork material slots on armor and weapons (and masterwork materials to put into them)

A stat chart similar to the one from single player so we can see our total STR/MAG/DEX/etc for each character.

Current HP / Max HP as a number on player and enemy health bars (as an option at least)

FIx enemies (specifically Venatori Mages/Spellcasters and Despair Demons) targeting without line of sight.

I would also like to see changes to the duelist to add viable ability options.

Anything that does not generate/use elusive or apply/remove vendetta should either be replaced by something else or tweaked (similar to how flank attack removes vendetta to generate elusive).

Gangway: This is a really interesting ability that is overshadowed by the above reasons. This ability needs an overhaul. Something like: You remove a vendetta when leaping away for a stack of elusive and apply a vendetta mark when grappling (or vise-versa)

Parry: Upgrade should generate elusive on successful parry.

Evade: Upgrade should remove vendetta to generate a stack (or two?) of elusive when the decoy damages vendetta targets.

Fallback Plan: Upgrade should remove vendetta from the pulled enemy generating two (or three?) elusive.

Keelhaul: When enemies are pulled together they should take damage (150% Weapon Damage would be fine, another 300% would be way too OP, or even 75-100%, just something).

Broadsides: Why does the main target not get marked? That seems silly.

Ambush: Works fine, but fix how enemies count as targeting you when they are clearly not.

Bolt: Fine, except it seems to generate a ton of aggro, making Ambush often times lose out on that sweet extra 900% damage.

Elusive in general: After losing a stack, you should be immune to damage for 1-2 seconds. When the game trows 5+ ranged (or one templar shadow/horror) it becomes impossible to generate elusive as it is taken faster than you can possibly build it.

@Wavebend I really like the idea of an endless Arena Mode. I'd add a risk/reward mechanic to it as well.  Earn a chest every wave. Every 5th wave "saves" your progress.  So if you bomb out before that you lose everything back to the last x5 wave.

The 5th Wave also offers the option to exit and take a bonus pile of gold. This "bonus" pile increases with every wave.  This amount is never saved, and if you bomb out at any point it's lost, you must chose to exit at some point to claim it.

The bonus gold earned could be displayed and calculated per wave, and could be increased for earning medals.

MAPS. I've played the MP for 24 hours so far, and the maps are starting to feel the same.

"But they're randomly generated" [as the wiki says] "which gives them variety, even if they look the same!"

Entering the same level from a different direction does not equal variety. Thought BioWare would have learned that lesson from DA2.

How many maps? How about four more to start with (in addition to the four we have), then another four later on, for 12 total. Having an alternate day / night cycle on a map does not count as a different map.

And can we have some darkspawn enemies? That would be awesome

Well since it looks like BioWare is not afraid of adding in completely new gameplay mechanics, I would like to see some non-human/dwarf/elf/qunari agents added in the future.

It may seem odd to those players that only played DA 2 and DA:I but not every fantasy creature you see is a mindless monster that instantly wants to rip your face off.   :P

Inquisition Agents I would like to see added via DLC:

- Sylvan Protector -

- Mabari War Hound -

- Masterwork Golem -

- Awakened Darkspawn -

The new Fereldan Castle map and Great Dragon fights are epic, but the MP can always use new ideas so here are some game modes I would like to see added via DLC:

Siege (Offensive)

It's pretty novel and I like it, though I'm wondering what types of technical limitations that would cause. Having the players start off in two completely separate zones could potentially cause networking and loading issues.

^ Those are my picks.

I'd like to expand on the whole Arena Mode idea. I think it should be timed, as in the mode ends when you run of time, and you gain time with each wave you clear. This should prevent stalemates and class swap abusing. Also, in the last wave the damn dragon should be there so that there is an alternate to get dragon drops other than FC.

And some of the waves should include special mobs from HB
