I remember when Rainbow Six: Vegas Two tried this.

It was horrible.

------------

and NBA only got worse (and better, but the worse is better than the better is worse.):

As I said, the tech got better.

But it also got hilariously worse and that is what I prefer. If such tech was implemented, I'd hope it would be just for rudimentary facial structure, none of that texture additions or custom sculpting. You then select your textures and do some minor tweaks and all that as needed.

Otherwise we'd be able to have playable Batarians amongst other horrifying creatures.

I'd pay to see that thing dunk on someone while making a really horrid shrieking sound.

Again, I will iterate:

The tech should only be used for basic face sculpting within the game's parameters so as to not allow such horrors to be made. Texture application would also be removed.

Now back to being your friendly neighborhood wisenheimer.

Watch the videos I posted please. You will be amazed, the facial structure is not a template, it is generated.

Walters cited the face-scanning tech demonstrated on stage today in EA’s latest NBA franchise title as a great Frostbite feature that they might potentially have access to if they needed it—though both he and Flynn quickly waved off my question about whether or not players would be able to scan in their faces as part of the Mass Effect: Andromeda character creation process.

"We can’t talk about that yet or ruin any of that yet!" laughed Flynn. "But what’s becoming a model of development for these games—to speak more generally—is that a really clever innovation like that gets created and gets polished and actually gets working, and then gets standardized to work with the engine and the technology, so it becomes much easier to then adopt those things and say, ‘I wonder if we could use that?’"

No depth sliders. Every character has the same flat face from the side. Overall one of the worst cc's out there.

It was nothing mind-blowing, but it was the best CC Bioware has created so far. Other than the hair options it was leaps and bounds ahead of what we had in previous Dragon Age games, or the Mass Effect series.

Honestly I'd have no complaints if it was DA:I's character creator except with better hair options.

not really I don't think personally but I do think it is probably DAI's weakest point still. But I think DAI is a pretty solid game for what it is. I'm just saying that this is an area that needs more attention going forward

Yes. The colour pallette from the CC and in-game does not always match.

It didn't have much of options otherwise either and was quite hard to use. Overall I think it was way more limited than any CC in DAO-DAI. I'd be very happy to get something like DAI, maybe not even so in-depth in terms of facial options, but hair could be little better ^^

I've a great solution

Airlock the CC. Waste of resources when you could just use presets.

Come at me bosh'tets.

Impossible to create your own characters, make self-inserts and make PC that doesn't look like everyone's PC's around web already.
