I've recently replayed Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age 2 with all story relevant DLC completed on Xbox 360. I tried starting up Dragon Age Inquisition but came across a serious setback that renders it impossible for me to be able to bring my choices over to Dragon Age Inquisition via Dragon Age Keep.
Several years ago (possibly in 2011) I created a Bioware account (the name was Mypalkevin) using my old email on Hotmail, but unfortunately I can't access it because someone tried to use it, thus I created another account via Gmail and is the one I am currently using. However it has been several years and I cannot remember what my password was and if I selected the forgot my password option, it'd send an email to my inaccessible account. I've tried accessing Hotmail/Outlook but because my laptop runs on Windows 7, when I go on it says that my account is closed until I get Windows 10 (I have registered my free update and I'll get it come July 29th), but it won't solve the problem of being able to access my old account.
Is there any way in order to solve this issue at all that doesn't involve making a new XBL account and replay DA:O and DA:2? If I were to change my Xbox Live Account's email address to my gmail, would I be able to use this account to link it with my Xbox Live Account thus able to transfer my choices?
EDIT: I tried changing the email address from my hotmail to my gmail, and it wouldn't work because the email has to be a Microsoft account. I also tried reactivating my old Hotmail through my Mother's Ipad, and it ultimately backfired because a message sent to my gmail told me that I filed the wrong information when trying to reactivate my account.
At this point my alternative is to make a new EA account with the email linked to my XBL account and roll with it, because my XBL account will not use Gmail at all.
Well, I guess this is what I get for using Hotmail in the first place
