It's all well and good until you're working 80 hour work weeks during crunch. As much fun as creating living works of art must be at times, it's a hell of a job.

Meh, I used to work 80-100 hour work weeks on average for an entire year. Sometimes more. You get used to it after awhile.

I would have killed for only working 80 hours a week every now and then.

Nice video, and by a superficial analysis they didn't let anything juicy escape. :(

Convenient camera angles avoiding even a sideglance at computer monitors ensured that.

What are you sighing at? It's true. It's like they just want to shove it in our faces.

You seriously think he specifically chose that cup because one of the words on it is also part of an infamous phrase dating back a little over 3 years - to a time before he even worked at Bioware - just to 'shove it in our faces'?

Try an exercise with me here, as open-mindedly as possible, please: consider for a second that this is a human being with his own stories and background and personality, the combination of which at some point led him to favour a coffee mug with the words 'Act with integrity'. That the meaning behind those words resonates with him for one reason or another. Consider that he likes that mug with those words simply for what they say on their own, having nothing to do with anything it could be tangentially linked to.

I'm constantly baffled by the kind of connections and perceived slights we're conjuring up around these parts.

Well, there's the screen shot of the Mako parked at the top of a hill you can see at 2:34, but it looks like it's in the same place as the scene in the trailer, so it might not count as "juicy".

@ 0:25 => "act with integrity" cup

screw off bioware lol

It's almost shameful how much they keep using that word even after their miserable "artistic integrity" blunder.

Clearly they should have put a trigger warning on this video.

Unlike Christopher Columbus, Bioware doesn't have to discover new worlds, they can just build them.

Holy Shyte batman!

Notice the use of console controllers?  What about a PC KEYBOARD?  Show me you guys are using a PC keyboard to test out the game.

Will this game also be a pi$$ poor console port like (for K+M controls) DAI?  Really! Thank you very much for showing me this. My enthusiasm for the game hit the basement with a THUD!

I'm going off now to stew with a beer.

All it would take is just a few seconds of showing devs explaining something while playing with a mouse. They still dont get it. Ive already got burned once back in november. I hope at least the console gamers get mass effect instead of a single player mmofps next year. Im out.

I can answer that question for you.

Most people are bitter, licentious, a bit spoiled, and think they know better.

They don't.

Yep, that was my reaction, too. He had a keyboard right next to him and he's using the gamepad... in level design? Meh, definitely not going to pre-order it.

I think they should incorporate fan feedback.. Closed surveys, and not too much dev-to-fan / fan-to-dev communication goes on aside from Twitter and conventions.

They do do this. They seem to have difficulty keeping them from leaking though. DAI and ME:A had big survey leaks.

Not for my $79 pre-order of the PC DAI with the poor K+M controls. I will always remember being burned with Mike's famous ".. A PC game for PC gamers by PC gamers.." and lest we forget ".. we went back to our roots..".

Since I know the Montreal ME boys and girls are watching these threads and perhaps even those that moved from Edmonton to Montreal, I want to make sure they remember there is a Keyboard and a Mouse which are the optimum input device controls for a PC desktop. I expect the game controls to reflect that reality.

No, I won't let them forget that, lest they do exactly the same thing with ME:A.

Well, that is a 360 controller. And considering ME:A is not coming to 360, it means they're using it for the PC build, and not the Xbox One build.

It does seem like there is alot of new people on the team. Not that i really mind, fresh perspective on some aspect of the game can be quite good. I am just hoping for the leads and writers to have the experience needed to carry on the themes of the series while making Andromeda interesting. We'll see as we get more information. Catiously optimistic at the moment.

Meh, should have been more deck shuffling at the top, rather than at the bottom, if you catch my drift.

That's even worse. That means they have a PC port optimized for controllers instead of KB & mouse.

That's pretty much every game now a days though. Hate to say it, but majority just don't use Keyboards anymore for their games. Even first person shooter players use custom controllers with back buttons and customized sticks over keyboards.

I'm happy with that. It's easy to map gamepad controls onto keyboard and mouse and designing for a gamepad should help you design tighter controls. Should, though I suspect radial power menus have opened the Pandora's box of control bloat.
