I would hesitate to use the most inflammatory and toxic thread on BSN to support any kind of point.

Haha, I take it you've never been to the old Miranda support threads that got the whole ME3 character and romance subforum locked down?

Teaser Trailer and Title = Makes it very clear they are throwing away everything that longtime fans recognize as Mass Effect, which leads to a game that is Mass Effect in title only. It's like the video game equivalent of the american Godzilla from 1998.

Not for nothing, but the 1998 version of Godzilla wasn't bad because it wasn't like the original version, but because of all the schlock typical of a Roland Emmerich movie. Heck, the one that came out last year was pretty dull too, despite being much closer to the original. I honestly could never revisit either.

People can get cheered up by garbage like Twilight and 50 Shades, so this isn't saying much. But you know, it's great that ME3 doesn't make you want to punch a hole in your screen whenever you start it up.

Well sure, if I'm to seriously entertain the idea that Mass Effect 3 is on par with the likes of Twilight or 50 Shades, which I obviously do not. But at least it didn't make me die of Kepral's Syndrome like Bill Casey.

It isn't, I just wanted to point out that garbage excites some people. Mass Effect 3 is decidedly NOT on par with those two, because unlike them, it actually has some redeeming features like Javik and Tuchanka. But significant parts of it are complete garbage no matter how you slice it, the endings in particular.

Then just take the BioWare posts. What's your problem with those? They acknowledge that there have been issues with the PC version of DA:I and you're telling me they don't count as support for my point? Please.

There's nothing wrong with your point, but if I wanted to illustrate that a number of people on BSN have a problem with DA:I's controls, I would have chosen to link to a thread that doesn't make everyone complaining look like complete lunatics.

It seems like it's something you want to do anyway, regarding your demeanor thus far in the thread.

I don't know. I don't mind more personal looks in these videos. They are nice, albeit a tad staged. Like I said, very similar to the Nintendo Directs we see.

I stopped following this thread somewhere in February, so I don't know what happened. I simply got fed up with people coming into the thread and going, "I'm not having these problems, I'm having fun, you must be playing the game wrong."

Anyway, point made.

So basically you don't like the direction....if that's the case nothing Bioware posts is going to cheer you up and you may just want to abandon this forum now rather than hang around to face disappointment,

I need to say on my part, that I mistook the coffee cup thing. I thought some guy in the video had said something about creating MEA with "integrity" which reminded me of the ME Retrospective video in which another Bioware dev claimed they "made a trilogy with integrity" and my mind went into rant mode immediately.

I wouldn't complain about a cup, except maybe point out that it's very haunting or just ironic or silly.

isn't that the other way around? Know when you're failing and change your approach. Have video games taught you nothing?

Cool, also Colin you have 3 monitors why you leaning forward?  :P

It's all well and good until you're working 80 hour work weeks during crunch. As much fun as creating living works of art must be at times, it's a hell of a job.

It's still better than an accounting job during crunch time.

It's almost shameful how much they keep using that word even after their miserable "artistic integrity" blunder.

How was Bioware standing by their work and their peoples right to create however they see fit a "miserable blunder"? I'm genuinely curious.

Give us a video with some REAL information! I don't mind these marketing videos, this vid got me excited...  However, it's been nearly a month and a half since the official announcement of ME:A at E32015.. Let's get some info! I don't care if it's a small bit.. Like a bit of the plot. Or a screen shot of the default M/F protagonist.

Bethesda said absolutely nothing about Fallout 4 until E3 and it comes out later this year and the last time Bioware discussed potential elements in an upcoming game over a year before release it was later used against them since some features were cut....I'd suggest you not hold your breath.

Just saw this link and video :) At first I felt concerned/uncomfortable because I couldn't see any female devs, but it looks like there were quite a few! I'm a little nervous, too, that there are so many new devs on the team; I'm afraid they will go in such a different direction that it won't "feel" like Mass Effect again, but also a part of me is just going to have to set aside my nostalgic feelings for the trilogy and learn to embrace whatever this wonderful new thing called Andromeda is.
