as long as it's for ME:A and onward if it's a new trilogy, yes.

I don't want anything from ME1-3 to be brought into ME:A, it'll just hamper it for one.  Two if they did that I'll be even more pissed that they left the Milky Way

ME:A is a new game with new characters. There is no need for an ME1-3 save game import.

Secundus

I'll give Bio Montreal the intelligence to design their future ME IP games with a proper import capability.... meaning that story branches and characters status will be saved in such a manner that it can be carried over to the next game.... meaning I can import my face from a previous game, among other things.

There's no point having any sort of Keep, since this is a new game that isn't connected to the previous trilogy.

Sure, why not? Even if it's tiny little things like dialogue tweaks mentioning Garrus being Shepard's partner and best friend, then I don't see what the harm is.

As long as it's just that sorta stuff. I don't wanna be dealing with the Reapers.

If it gets quarians in the game and keeps everyone from having green circuitry bullshit, then I'd be in favour, but it seems an unlikely potentiality considering that going to Andromeda is likely a means to get away from the consequences of the Shepard trilogy.

I'll just hate BioWare if they create a "keep" and didn't call it the "Citadel Archive".

Mass effect Keep ? For what ?

Mass effect Andromeda is like a "kind of reboot", its not realy a sequel.
Dragon age keep was needed beacause is  the link between DAO/DA2 and Dragon Age Inquisition.  MAE is a new story , news character , new companions and news World .

I want it for the one feature of The Keep you aren't mentioning.  It is recording all the choices from Dragon Age: Inquisition for importing into the next Dragon Age game, which is what I would want for Mass Effect as well.

The catch is they might have import ability, but they still wouldn't have cross platform support unless both Sony and Microsoft agree to let data go outside of their networks to EA or one another and if I want to move to the PC from a console version I don't want to be told my options are to buy the game again or stay stuck with the first platform I think it would be a good idea to have.  Besides this will allow people to make changes to their choices instead of having to go back and replay the game again if they desire.

It could make sense to have something like the Keep. Let's see:

On the one hand ME:A is kind of a reboot, but on the other hand BW said they want to respect choices we've made.

Things like the Krogan genophage, Quarians and Geths. Those are important things if krogans (krogans are confirmed to be in ME:A according to the trailer), quarians, and geth are going to make an appearance in Andromeda, or how are they going to make that appearance.

Granted, probably most choices wont affect anything in Andromda, but it's like the keep for DA:I, there're choices there that don't really do anything in game now (like if you helped Sten with his sword back in Origins), but they may affect something in future titles.

I am going to say it again, and I am going to say it on every page of this thread that I come across.

Don't care about the endings. Don't care about the personal decisions Shepard made. Don't care about who Shepard was boning. Don't care about Renegade or Paragon.

What I care about is whether or not the genophage was cured. How the Rannoch arc was resolved and whether the geth, the quarians, or both survived. Whether or not the rachni went extinct.

Things like that. Decisions that affected entire species and whether or not those species are going to be along for the ride on the ark. That's what I care about, that's what a ME "Keep" should include and be limited to.

Yay but just to hear story of Shepard in one place, without affecting story. ;)

Nay

MEA should have no connections with the original trilogy.

Yay.

I hate how they seem to be throwing everything away, so this would be good.

And why do you think that's the only thing a keep would be for?

Importing the choices from MEA to future titles.

To record the choices from ME:A for later use? Like the DA Keep does for DA:I?

Logic. Do you need the DA:Keep for DA:O or DA2?

We wouldn't need a Keep for ME:A, we'd need it for the future installments in the franchise.

Sure, but given the success of the DA Keep, it's more logical to build ME:A to sync to a keep in the first place, if they think they'll want the choices later, than to wait until the next ME game comes up and make people re-enter their choices some other way.

I believe Bioware said somewhere that they are looking into making the ME equivalent of Dragon Age: Keep.
