Can you have an option to populate empty lobbies with these bots until they are replaced by IRL players?

I think it's just a matter of beefing up their promotes + gear: give them 150/150/150 and Hakkon weapons, they are good to go. No AI changes needed.

Or just make them all your own builds with current equipment and promotes.

I think they can't die in the proving grounds, which would be nice. Soloing nightmare by just opening the door and waiting for them to take everything down.

That seems like it would be a lot of work to get through just for some stand ins. A default resilience/damage per difficulty level would seem much more practical.

Be pretty cool. Like having a team of Inquisition Captains to help you out lol.
Only to see them die within seconds (on high difficulties anyway). ![]()

Only if you code them to open the farking treasure rooms. I would actually prefer them over players.

MUST OPEN TREASURE ROOMS.
I think some of the AI might be better than running with people.

If they're modeled after Inquisition Captains, than hell to the no.

Anything is better than being forever alone in lobby.
If they can open treasure rooms and act as substitutes till people join then I see no problem... Also have option to turn on or off.

90% of my games are Solo due to Satellite ISP being fastest option in the area with an upload speed of only 1 to 3 Mbps, a 1 - 2 second lag and related weather knock-outs. The solo route has become too repetitive at present, and I've gone back to playing ME3MP where the lag on the same Sat-ISP is playable (at least on Silver) as a valuable team member.
This would be a re-birth of the MP for me; takes me to the days of 'Solo' MP on Unreal Tournament with teammate bots.
Please Bioware,....

They should come up with a whole questline based around one player and a group of bots. In fact, if they made this questline one player only (+bots), they could add all sorts of extra stuff like cutscenes and coversations choices.

The archers aren't too bad at low levels, doing some token damage and keeping out of trouble in the main.. The sword chappies need to have "coward" AI built in, they just can't take melee punishment (and live).

....Have you tried Single Player yet? You can even fall in love with the bots!

I haven't tried the Proving Grounds yet, but I like the idea already.
Having bots may defeat the purpose of Co-op gameplay, but so does the Region-Lock Matchmaking to a much greater extent.

Yeah, but the bots are only substitues till real player joins.

Real players won't join, unless one is hosting from North America or Europe. Bots could be more than pug substitutes for some players who play from less privileged regions Matchmaking-wise.

Yeah, I could see it. BW said that initially they had a mage for escort missions, but they cut it because it was OP compared to the rest because it could barrier. Seems to me players could be replaced by a warrior, archer and mage bot that are invincible but semi useless except as meat shields. Which pretty much describes the average pug anyway, except for the invincibility.
