Bioware's been teasing a number of things lately: On their website, they're asking a lot of questions about dwarves and darkspawn. Think that will be our next single-player DLC?

I sure freaking hope so!

Should check out the twitter thread in the no spoilers forum. We cover all those hints and more over there.

And yes, excited if the next DLC is darkspawn/deep roads. Or just single player, at this point. >_>

Knowledge is power, and every inquisitor benefits from a healthy understanding of the world of Thedas and its rich history. Today we'll take a look at the deep roads/darkspawn

They are posting codex entries on the website, seems like a dlc to me, unless if they decide to troll us and post all the codex entries just for the sake of it

Trying to figure out whether it's for SP or MP is pretty difficult. Their marketing is weird.

Looks like a MP for me, since the inquisitor have to chase (most likely) Solas, and the deep roads for him doesn't make much sense (anyway i could use some grey wardens on MP as characters).

It looks like all signs point towards the Deep Roads, but it remains to be seen if it will be Multiplayer or Singleplayer.

Hopefully we'll finally get the romance-able Broodmother companion with it. It's long overdue. Assuming it's SP, of course.

Why? The Inquisitor doesn't know who Solas is or what he's done. A DLC for Solas(Wolf Hunt, if you will) would be predicated on the Inquisitor getting some sort of tip or intel on Solas or something that Solas is involved with. That can happen at any time and doesn't have to be the next DLC. It doesn't have to be done as DLC at all. They could put that into the next game.

Anything would be good, I just checked for new DLC after a few months and was kinda bummed that I didn't find anything.

They're taking their sweet ol' time and putting out overpriced outfit packs in the meantime. I guess they think the DLC they put out will be so amazing they'll bring tons of players back to the game. I doubt it will work out that well for them, especially now that they've screwed most of their customers out of even buying the DLC.

MP of course,in which you have to destroy a horde of darkspawn and an AD as well, the player who would do the infamous deed for glory, will pay the price by being disconnected from the server.

The use of the word "teasing" in regards to info related to whatever dlc happens to show up next (or at all) is being overly generous. "Incoherent" is a much more accurate term in regards to whatever is going on with Bioware marketing these days. Look, I'm a fan and I've played all of the DA stuff numerous times; but this bizarre situation is a real disconnect from them for some strange reason??

Wish I could say why?

Well, people complained about ME3 DLC starting development before ME3's release, so I guess Bioware listened to them.

I believe they mentioned this as the reason we do not have DLC companions.

Well, The Frostback Pass is clearly the Frostback Basin, cut from the game and finished/gussied up later.

The wishful thinking part of me is hoping for a full blown expansion, hence the long wait.

Probably wrong.

It's not too difficult to figure out! We're discussing a game that is nearing its one year anniversary, and all that we have had is a single story-based dlc to accompany it? [Extra add-ons notwithstanding] I'm not being petulant or griping over much, but that is the reality. That minimal amount of game support is also much different from the previous offerings of this franchise; and even more peculiarly we have all been reading industry sources reporting on nothing much more than idle forum speculation (in the absence of actual genuine Bioware commentary). That is what I'm referring to, and as an example over the last few days Google-ing DA:I dlc will pull up news items related to the new Inquisition Horse Armor dlc. There isn't any? I get that this is just erroneous discussion about Spoils of the Qunari by that source, but it is merely the latest example of such weirdly offbase pablum floating around about this lengthy dlc release scenario.

I understand that "something" is forthcoming, but I also wonder whether a clamp down was leveraged behind the scenes due to unforseen difficulties experienced by the company? Perhaps sometimes endlessly teasing your customer base in these instances may not be the best path to tread?

100% wrong. They've been saying for years that expansions are off the table.

I don't care about deep roads. I just want a DLC to explain the ending involving Solas / Flemeth. enough of these item packs. agh.

Between the gear pack and the dwarf lore drops on the DAI site, I keep thinking it will be any Tuesday now, but still nothing. Maybe August will see a new story DLC. I'm not usually one to worry about DA's future, but 8 months out and only 1 story DLC is... alarming. This is not a good way to maintain enthusiasm for the series.

Agreed.  They are being unusually tight lipped about everything.  NO announcements...nothing.  Sure, we get a post on the main website, but that's NOT an announcement.  Could just be filler.  I wonder why they are being so secretive?  Multiplayer CAN'T sustain DA forever...and even THEY are barely getting any serious content.  What gives I wonder?

EDIT:  Thought just occurred.  What if SP is getting a Spoils of Kal-Sharok instead of a full DLC?  What IF...all we get from this point forward is item packs?
